HI there,
I’m receiving a lot of evil thoughts in my head and I also receive a lot of thoughts of pride such as that I’m better than some one else….etc. A lot of Hate is pouring in my heart. I got my exams near. Those thought comes to my head when I study. Then I suddenly stop studying and pray then I confess my evil thoughts to GOD and then I ask forgiveness. That is kind of a distraction for my studies. Worst those thoughts are ordering / threatening me to ask forgiveness else they (thoughts) say that they are not going to let me study. I don’t know why those thoughts are coming to my head and I don’t know why they are ordering me to repent by threatening like that? I dont know why those evil thoughts comming to my head in such a crucial time? Do I have to confess my evil thoughts like this? Are there any specific prayers to cure this? cheers |

Especially, when I became a believer, thoughts like this would drown me... Unless you may need to see a Dx. I think they are normal in the sense that you may be under attack so to speak... But nothing to fear, "really" than extreme frustration... ![]() You need to get the "WORD" into you, and then "Stand", and "Wait" for the Lord... The "Word" as Christ used it, to fight against satan... Put all your armor on each morning... Ephesians 6:10-17 10 Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we[a] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.[b] 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.[c] 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

It sounds like you are being harassed. Satan likes to do that… take your mind off of something that will make you a better Christian.
2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds 2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; So… take every thought captive. The Bible tells you to take “every” thought captive, so it must be possible. If you take something captive… you have power over it. Get rid of the thoughts you don’t want. I think you only need to ask for forgiveness if you entertain an evil thought. If you cast it out right away, no need for forgiveness. I think satan puts evil thoughts into our heads sometimes. When you get an evil thought, just say, “I cast you out in the name of Jesus”. Cover yourself with the blood. Ask for God’s protection, and remind satan and his demons that you are a child of God and they are trespassing and they need to leave NOW!!! Do it all in Jesus name, and God will honor you. I mentioned it on another post, but a prayer that works for me is this… “I circumcise these thoughts in Jesus name” Sometimes I have to say it over and over, but it works for me.

Hi Leonidus,
I am in a bible course at church right new called New Freedom In Christ and it teaches on living in the Tree Of Good & Evil & living in the Tree Of Life. Last night we were talking about Spiritual Warfare & thoughts and most "evil" thoughts are NOT yours!!! It's the enemy trying to get you to take ownership of those thoughts & claim them as your own. I learned that you don't have to repent for them you need to take them captive to the obiedence of Christ and tell the devil to flee from you!! Then ask the Holy Spirit to place a guard over your mind and pray for peace. The enemy likes to do that to me at night so I pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding and ask the Holy Spirit to all my thoughts compative to the obiedence of Christ and play worship music to get to sleep. Worship & speaking the word of God are VERY powerful weapons against warefare. Also pray before you study and ask for the hedge of protection around your mind also PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD..

I used to have constant "bad" thoughts, after I gave my life to Jesus for real.
What I learned to do was to imagine stuffing that thought into a 55 gallon drum, (beating it in with a broom handle if it raises its ugly head up), slamming the lid down on it, locking a ring around the lid, welding it shut, then kicking it up into outer space and calling up to Jesus "here it is, Lord! Please discard this for me, I cant deal with it!" When I first started doing that, it was a struggle to keep the thought in the drum as I was trying to get the lid on. I fought and fought. But the more I did that, the easier it got, the less it fought back. And now, when a 'bad' thought comes in, I drag out the 55 gallon drum and it leaves on its own! ha! Ok, so I have an active imagination. But its my way of taking thoughts captive and casting them down. Hey, it worked!
