I can't stand knowing God, knowing heaven and hell are real, and knowing there is SO much more. But I can't find the words to tell my friends. They think what I have are "beliefs". All they know is the world, and how dark, scary, and pointless it looks to them.
Jesus help me show them!

When speaking to those few who actually can have their thinking swayed by reason, you may wish to ask if their "paradigm is reasonable".
When you say that one thing is true, and another false, you must make certain assumptions about reality. For example, if the world is a completely "natural place", i.e. no supernatural phenomena of any kind, then it would follow that there can be no ghosts, spirits of any kind, curses, fate, karma, prophecy, mind over matter, ESP, psychic phenomena, etc. As soon as 1 spirit slams a door the whole notion of a purely physical world becomes blatantly false. Once you are aware that the supernatural exists, (whether one likes the idea or not) you then must go further as to what is possible and/or plausible. |

I was up all night and spent 5 hours writing a letter to my female friend after she told me of how she's scared about what she hears about the world and how it's going down the toilet. This isn't the same girl who was talking about slipping back to cutting and stuff, this is someone else.
Thanks SS, I'm pretty much writing my testimony in this letter too. I haven't sent it yet I believe it's worth working on more. Sometimes I'm scared to send it, sometimes I know I have to, off and on...

I know how you feel. My 2 best friends are both misguided, one is open to God so we talk about it a lot, but the other one...wow... She doesnt even like the WORD religion. Its sad. Everytime I try to talk to her about it, she gets all awkward and changes the subject.
But yeah its hard to witness to people about God! But i guess you have to let it shine from within yourself like violet said, or start a convo like sweetsurrender. Sounds good to me ![]() PS letters are good! Sometimes the best things you can say come through writing. |

May I just paraphrase it to see if I am understanding it correctly? Is what you're saying is that if some unbeliever wants to claim that the world is purely physical and so believes in evolution, for instance, as the only plausible theory, that means they must not or should not believe in anything supernatural, like TM or psychic phenomena, at all. I mean, they are saying believing in God is bunk because it is spiritual. So, therefore, you should argue this when they put down people who believe in God. Is this what you're saying? Or did I even get close? It is a deep thought, but I loved it. Bonnie
