Default Identity Theft

Identity Theft

Then Jesus asked the man, "What is your name?" The man
answered, "My name is Legion, because there are many spirits
inside me."

-- Mark 5:9 (ERV)

Today, because of all the e-commerce and the widespread use of credit
cards, identity theft has become a huge concern. People find our key
identification numbers and then take over "our identity" and charge up
enormous bills in our names stealing our money using our credit. Satan,
however, is the greatest identity thief. When he gains control over a
human heart, that heart can lose its identity -- the values, the
commitments, the purposes of that person become lost as a new "evil"
personality begins to display itself. For this unfortunate
demon-possessed man, identity theft is complete. He lives alone in the
place of death spending countless hours in sub-human behavior harming
himself. He can't even give his name. His identity has become fused
with the evil presences that now live inside him. Let's never forget
Satan's intentions for us. He longs to rob us of our character, our
will, and our identity. Yet we can resist and overcome him by God's
power. The key to doing so, however, is a commitment to vigilance and
passion for the Kingdom of God and his righteousness.

Very sad but very true.

Yes it is sad and to think there are so many people caught in satan's trap that their identity is lost . But if we can just remain on the path of righteousness and follow Jesus Example always remebering where we came from and where we are going. Claiming the promises of God every day, satan has to flee and cannot get a foothold into our lives.

I got a new credit card I had ordered, and before I could even get it activated it had over $500 charged to it. The only other people who had access to it were those who work at the credit card office. I told them that they have at least one crook working there who is helping him/herself to
credit card numbers. I refused to pay it and told them why.

When I tried to use it for the first, it was declined because of being nearly maxed out already. The limit is only $600. If I hadn't had another card I could use, I couldn't have paid for the work I had done on my car. I was expecting to use the brand new card I had activated only a few days before.

How do you know that someone in the credit card office that sends you the card hasn't copied your name and the card number to use themselves? I can't think of any other way it could have happened. I live alone, and no one has access to anything of mine without breaking into my home. They said they would be investigating it, but they sent me a statement anyway. I returned it with a letter telling them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. I'm sorry, but I tend to lose my sanctification when someone is trying to cheat me or steal from me. I didn't use any profanity though.

Wow, Jon- Mark..... That is unbelieveable. I just can't imagine the corruption within. That seems to be everywhere and there are even airport officials who apparently have gotten the names off of people's luggage and broken into their homes know that they are on vacation.

Sad and sick society we live in. Thank God for Jesus o hwere would we be ?
