When does the spirit of lust come in to action?

Hi there,

The place i live in, my fellow hostel mates bring women to the hotel for sexual encounters. According to the bible this is breaking a commandment. I also heard that if the guys / girls who are addicted to sex with random opposite sex, the spirit of lust (who works for satan) resides in them. I beleive i'm the only person who lives in this hostel who prays on daily basis. some time i pray two three times a day.

If those guys with so much lust into women live in here, they bring spiirit of lust with them. For satan those guys arent a problem becuase they are willfully breaking a commandment but i'm trying to get closer to GOD and i get heaps of demonic problems, e.g.: i have difficulties with praying becuase the guy in the next room can hear it and Some times he laughs for my prayers which can be really dicourageing, so when the spirit of lust enters our hostel it's gaze comes on to me. So he will invite other demons and put more problems to me.
At the moment, some times i dont even feel like studying it's like some one draining all my energy away from me or something....etc.

One of the things i love to do is praying. I used to pray three times a day. But now i dont have to freedom to pray becuase the guy in next room listen to my prayers and some times he laughs. So now i play a anointed sounds from radio365 when i pray. How ever some times the music is also takes my concentration away. WHen i pray i feel good. But now i have difficulties with praying. I dont know weather there are demons surrounded me and attacking me severly. I also have problems at school, that there is a hatred towards me from other students and lectureres and tutors.

I need to know how the spirit of lust works, so i can get to know my enemy (Satan) better

A lot of people would call that a spirit of “Sexual Impurity”. The spirit of lust would be included, along with many other demons working together. There isn’t much you can do about the others if they don’t want help. But you must remember that if you are paying rent there, you have a right to be there and have a right to tell the demons to leave you alone. As long as what you are doing is of God, you have authority over those demons. You can’t make the demons leave the building, as others are paying rent too, but you can kick them out of your room and tell them they have to leave you alone when you are in any other part of the building. Remind the demons that their boss calls your boss the most high. Remind them that you are a child of God and you have authority over them. When you tell the demons to leave you alone in Jesus name, they have to obey you… Jesus said so!!!

The world, the flesh , the devil. Satan is in third place. The biggest trouble is when the world tempts willing flesh:
Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Yes there could be spiritual involvement but all to often it is uncontrolled flesh.

I would say to remember that no one, especially not satan, can make you do anything if you remain strong in Christ - perhaps it would be better for you to find somewhere more suited to your beliefs to live?

Jesus tells us in His "Sermon on the Mont, sin starts with thoughts in our minds. Where do good thoughts or sinful thoughts come from? Either God or Satan.

Jesus declares, if a man lusteth after a woman, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

This tells me, thoughts are not all of our own. Boanerges also showed Scripture that proves that.

We can find lusful thoughts pop into our minds, but we can reject them as well. Or... we can let them linger, to eventually see them carried thru.

Evil thoughts that pop in are not bad, unless we let them linger long enough to act upon them. Sinful thoughts cannot become manifested sin, if we reject them right away.

God declares the battle is of the spirit, not of the flesh. Therefore, let not your neighbor's chiding or laughing bother you. This is Satan or a demon thru them, laughing at the Holy Spirit in you, trying to do the Father's Will thru you.

Ministers get so wore out from dealing with people always trying to battle other people, when it is Satan and his Demons against God and the Trinity who are battling, not people.

God tells us to love, Satan convinces us to hate. These are the good or evil thoughts given us, we must choose from to do. Which ever form is the kind we like and accept, is the influence that is the "root" of a tree, seen by the fruit it bears.

God's Word shows there are many types of demons existing, from doctrinal, to suicidal, to imitators, those of death, dumb, blind, deaf, plus more.

Be in prayer and start fasting as well some. Jesus showed there are those demons which cannot be dealt with without praying and fasting both. And as for "types" of demons, demons of lust can be many types as well. There are those of lust for money, material things, sinful relationships, power, position, prestige, plus more.

If want to deal with these spirit entities, read everything you can from God's Word about them, from Angelic visits to people such as Noah, spying out Canaan- (Anak's sons), Abraham, Lot, Daniel, and others, besides how Jesus dealt with demons during His Minstry.

This will not only give you an idea how far they can interact with our phys. world, but also show how God created Angelic beings to be of certain types or intelligence or having specific abilities. And you'll never find any Scriptures to show where God took away the abilities of "Fallen Angels", but only removed them from His domain.

Leon,

I know that must be really hard for you.I am praying the God will open up a door and a way for you that others there in that hostel will see your faithfulness to God. God will surely honour you as you let your light so shine for Him in the darkness of that Hostel.

Of course satan wants to attack you as you being the only Christian there but my dear brother, He is able to keep you from all that is going on around you.

As for your prayers .... Is it possible that you can pray not so audibly so that your next door neibour cannot laugh or if he hears you praying for him , maybe he will stop as well. It is important for you to pray in that place and God my dear brother has put you there for a reason.

Just remain
strong in the Word and try to find some Christians that you can fellowship with and that can pray with you. That way satan does not have a foothold.
