Default Share something good your Pastor has done for you

What someone said in another post brought this back to my mind.

Joh 13:5 After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

I’m sure most of you are familiar with the above verse. Ever since last summer, that verse has had so much more meaning to me, I can’t even put it into words. We were starting our service one Sunday. The praise and worship was done, and we just took the offering. Our Pastor started talking about how and why Jesus washed the disciples feet. She then told us, “tonight, I am going to wash everyone’s feet.” She reminded us that she is here to serve and she is to use Jesus as an example. “Jesus washed the disciples feet, and I am going to wash your feet”.
It was amazing. It still brings tears to my eyes now writing about it.

I guess I may title this post, “share something good your Pastor has done for you”.

Blessings to you all.
Dean

P.S. I think my Pastor is the best. If you don't think your Pastor is the best... why not? (you don't have to answer that, just think about it)

My pastor is my father-in-law, so there is nothing bad I can say about him. He is a wonderful man and an even better preacher. I would have to say that he has done lots of good for me. He has touched me spiritually. He has lifted me up in my faith. He has shared stories with me from the Bible that I never knew where there. He preaches the word of God many levels lower than other preachers so that I can understand it. He has given me hope in the Lord when all else seemed to fail. Thank you Lord Jesus for the blessing he has brought to my life because Your love radiates through him.

My Pastor taught me that I can live and dwell in the glory of God on a continuing basis. I could not ask for a greater gift.

My Pastor is also a personal friend who has put up with us through lots of trials and still shown he loved us!
He is a very Godly man and one knows that when they have been with him they have also been in touched by Jesus.

[Tongue in cheek] - In my case that's a little difficult to answer because I am my earthly Pastor...but let me just say this. I work for a company called "God and Son".

THEY are the boss and THEY do very good things for a lot of people who know and love them, as I do. The pay is lousy but the rewards are great. Where else can you work and have a 'retirment plan' such as theirs? Eternal Life - gee, that sounds pretty good.

I've had my feet washed before, it was a humbling experience!
My pastor has taught me how to hear God myself. and how to be transparent before Him, and to worship with freedom.

Grew up poor. I never knew what it was to eat normally. To wear normal clothes.

My pastor taught me that if I cast all of my fears and doubts on the Lord, believed in Him with all I have, that He could make things better for me.

I did. And He did. On the day when I realized that I could no longer shut my kitchen cupboards because they were stuffed with food...on the day when I stood back and realized that I had a warm place to stay and I felt safe and in complete comfort, I wrote the Reverend Elston a thank-you letter. I thanked him for bringing me closer to the Lord.

Right where I belong.
