hi! i was at bible study in school a few weeks back. the message then was serving God in whatever we are doing at the moment (be it school, work, non work, etc). as a student, i am called to do as He wants me to and to reach out to others who are seeking the Lord, and even those who are not seeking Him. i'm guilty though, sometimes, when i only think of what i have to do and spare no thought for God. schoolwork has been so heavy lately that i'm constantly stressed and only thinking of the next assignment.
even if thats the case, that's my way of serving Him as of the moment. in the future i plan to take a second college degree in vet med. (not sure though how much serving God i can do there). what about you?

God realizes the stresses we are under. Take time to rest, to be still and know He is God. As for serving as a veterinarian. We are called to be stewards of God's creation. That means to care for all creatures. If you are called to care for animals, then do so as service to God. He will bless those efforts as surely as He would those who treat humans.

That's excellent advice!
![]() For many years, I've been writing. I have trunks and boxes stuffed with old stories and manuscripts, and for the past...oh, seven years or so?...I've been working on a story that seems to be bigger than me. Nothing has worked with this story. I approached it from all angles and tried different perspective, but zip. The passion is there, I love to write. But the story just seems to seep out and flop around on my dish. I realized I was fighting God on this one. I was writing this story to satisfy myself. Not Him. Do everything for the Lord. That includes using our abilities and talents for His glory. So I approached this story (which deals with a supernatural event) with a Christian male as the main character and zoom! It took off. When I sit down to write now, my face gets hot and I get excited. It's like breathing - I have to come back to this story to take a few gasps of fresh air. It's amazing. This is only a hobby for me, of course...something to keep me busy (I'm afraid of being bored ).In everything we do, we should put forth our best. Not for us or to impress other men...but for God and His glory. Everything that we have, He gave us. Nothing is our own. All belongs to Him. It's good to see that you know this, baaad kitty. You're growing spiritually, becoming closer to God, and that's always amazing to see.

Excellent advice indeed. I was a Meat Department manager. Not much there but mule work yet God was able to use me. Many employees came to me for ministry, we have 60 tractor trailers a week bringing products so guess what- yep many drivers were touched by God, and many sales reps and even some customers. All it takes is a willing heart.
As far as the stress while that may be ( and is) part of life if we ask the Holy Spirit's help in everything we do the answers come easier and the load gets lighter. You will be fine BC! And God will use whatever you may have to offer Him.
