I just wanted to write this out about reading about ELF the supposed environmentalists who burned down some pricey homes up in Washington state today.

I can understand them caring for the environment; yes, I admit many people are not that "environmentally" aware of their daily lives. But, this act was uncalled for.

Like many people are saying (on other sites I visit), these ELF people do not realize how much danger they are actually putting the environment into. Thank God that this fire did not spread to the woods behind the houses.

These people will actually hurt innocent people just because of some trees, that (DUH! Moment) can be RE-planted as saplings. Of course it'd take a while for the trees to get over 5-6 feet in height, but there are also other alternatives.

So, instead of trying to be "kind and caring", they decide to burn a house down. Did that help? Nope. They're actually destroying the "precious" trees that they're trying to save. How odd...=?

There's millions of other things I could say about people using violence to get what they want...you can add some if you want...

Whirlwind

Of course, it's not about trees or anything else. I was telling my friend this morning: That's what they say it's about...trees. But it's really just about hurting other people. Trees is just an excuse to justify why they're behaving the way they're behaving.

If you want to save a tree, go out and save it. But you don't need to kill someone to do it. The devil is moving in these people by justifying their actions; telling them that they're doing it for good...when they're really just doing it for evil.

If these people really wanted to do good, then "good" would include having compassion for their neighbors. God moves through us, and we submit to His will...it changes our lives. It becomes more and more difficult to hurt our neighbors and to steal and murder and lie and take God's name in vain. With God moving through us, we don't find the need to do bad things and justify our actions with a blanket of "goody-goody". Our actions speak for themselves. They shout for God.

Trees. Hrmph! You guys are so right! The environazis (thanks, Bo ) burn down a sprawling multi-million dollar home (and other trees around that home) and then settle back and laugh and say that it was to save a tree.

...these are sad times, people. Be ready!

In my view the ELF is nothing more than a terrorist organization. I remember a couple years back they destroyed a bunch of hummer suv's at a dealership because of the gas they use. Ignorance leads to violence.
