The missionary in charge of Eurasia was telling us, that they just started building churches in Kazakhstan in 1994. They started with 2 churches, and a year later they had 4. He made a point about how that was a "good growth". So, when he checked last year, 2007 he expected the growth to continue and would have been overjoyed to see that there were 30 churches built. But there wasn't 30, there was 600!! And in the past 9 months, they have built 200 more on top of that....in a strong Muslim country!!!
Last week, one of the pastors called him and asked that he pray for them. He said, that they were having a baptism service to receive new members, and they wanted everyone to pray that they would go unnoticed. After he agreed to pray about it, he was then told, that over 2400 people were going to be baptized this weekend. And do you know what makes this story even more amazing? He was a Nazarene missionary. Why is that amazing? Because those number represent a single denomination, out of how many others? That is one group, out of hundreds of others in the country. And he even met personally with the Islamic leader. They told him that they hate Christians, but that they have been doing a good work. Because they are helping the poor, the homeless, the downtrodden. They are doing good works, and so they have been allowed to live and thrive. What a great testament to God, that His children are doing His work, so that our own enemies will not strike against us!

I finally bought the DVD of China Cry a couple of weeks ago, it was really good, and then last night it was on one of the cable channels!
Have never seen it on a secular channel before. I have a real heart for the chinese church, it is true christianity at work, there arent many cultural christians, it is the real thing, and it is incredible. |

That is cool to see on secular TV. If you are like me you will still enjoy the disk more- no commercials, no editing. You can enjoy the whole story.
