is it just me, or does anyone else feel like bawling whenever s/he sings praise songs? in church i try to hold back my tears when all the people (like hundreds, literally) sing with one voice. just hearing it makes me feel so, so... happy beyond words that my only reaction is to cry and cry. its worse when the song is dramatic

Kitty - I feel the same way!

Let it out, my friend, let it out! You're there for God. There's a reason why He wants you to cry...it really cleans out your spirit. I used to feel like holding back, too...then one day I just let it all out. One of my friends was like: I wish music would touch me that way! I can't see how it couldn't. The words we're singing are to Him. It's during that time when we really do just bow down and give Him glory.

Next time, just let it go. Nobody's going to judge you, honest. It's refreshing. Like a waterfall in the hot summer.

Yes that is so true and some of the songs and choruses.... especially the new choruses have really touched me and if we are really into worship and in tune with God our heavenly Father how wonderful it is to express our praise to Him in the form of our tears. He sees all those tears and He is so touched that He bottles them up so yes that is a wonderful expression of our love for our God. And don't let any one tell you any different.

I don't know whether it is the Holy Spirit or not, but I would have to include myself also. The eyes fill up amd the throat gets a lump and I just want to fall on my knees. Praise to YHVH, He is All Glory.
