When trying to explain things to people who do not believe...
This is just something I typed while thinking about how people react to being taught about what they cannot see. *Paintings/Pictures: The terms are used here to symbolize "ideas" "ways of seeing things" "visual representation of your understanding" For everyone's sake. Use my words not to paint a picture to live by, but rather to paint a picture to take to the God I claim exists. If you can find him, he will show you what to do to this picture to make it something you can live by. You will end up with a whole gallery of things you've never seen before. Put on display only the paintings he has approved and they will all work together. If this God does not exist. Then you have nothing to worry about, you will not be brainwashed, as you have decided not to live by the original picture. I'm sure I could pretty it up and make it more poetic. I don't know how clear it is to everyone, but it's my thoughts at the time.

I find an easy way is to share what Christ did for me, how He changed and impacted my life and how we personally interact. It is a personal relationship with a living God, wow!

MArk.... Nice thought indeed and very creative . God has given each of us a unique way of expressing and telling others about Him. Myself , I just tell of His goodness and the trials that He has taken me through. In other words , a personal testimony and people can relate to that or not.

John 14:16-17
16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. The best way you can show people who God is and let them know He is real, is by living your life in a way that makes God smile. I remember a song once that said, the world cannot see him through us until we get on our knees.

I wonder, I don't know
If we should give our testimony to everyone... Maybe we should be led of the Spirit...SOme people I see a brick wall which I interpret to mean they are closed and not recieve anyting I say...

Beloved ... You have a point there. But even if there is the brick wall , that doesn't mean that down the line those words might come back to them . We do not know that and them maybe at their soft point some one else will come along and water the seed that we have planted . Don't you think ?

I've always been told that we are not responsible for the others reaction. That is Gods job to woo and convict. We are to live our lives in openness, joy, caring and sharing and let our lives shine His light. And if we have the opportunity to share our faith, ask God for the right words and let Him do the rest! You never know what kind of seed you have planted, or what stage the seed someone else has planted is in when you come along and water!

We should be led of the Spirit in everything. It is He who will lead you to share even when it seems there is no hope!

it's frustrating for me sometimes when people ask me why i believe in the things i believe in. after all the blabbing and yammering on all i can really say that it's made me so happy and fulfilled, not much else
