I do not likes Heights. I can fly in a plane, but I cannot be on a mountain or cliff or even drive up a cliff/mountain without freaking out! DO NOT PUT SPIDERS ANYWHERE NEAR ME!!!!!!! OH MY GOSH THOSE THINGS ARE SO FREAKY!

I'm not really afraid of much...the biggie is having my kids disappear...or be taken...but besides praying for their safety, and being sure they are in a safe place, there's not much I can do about it...so I give it to God.

I was taught that if you're afraid of something you should face it head on...I don't like snakes much, and for a time I was nightmare afraid of them...when I was 9 or so, my grandma told me to go play with a little garter snake...I suvived it, and am no longer afraid of them...but I still don't like them...they remind me of satan...

I learned something much more valuable than the fact that garter snakes are nearly harmless...

Fears are something that have only the power over you that you give them...

I have always tried to confront my fears. Like for instance, I don't care for snakes much. But when I was younger my buddies and I used to go rattlesnake hunting. Guess who the lucky fella was that got to cut off the tails. So anyhow, my buddy would put his foot on their head and I would cut off the tail. Well evidently, he didn't have his foot on one hard enough and it's head slipped out. I screamed like a girl.
But I don't fear much for myself. I fear for my family. Even at church last Sunday, my oldest boy had to use the restroom. So we just told him to go out and come right back. I was getting fidgety in my chair when he wasn't back in about 2 minutes.

I have a phobia to spiders. I was on my way down the steps of our unfinished-old fashioned victorian house-basement one spring with a load of laundry, when something dropped on my shoulder. It was a huuuuuuge spider. I screamed and my hubby came running. He captured it in a jar and we set it out on the back porch. The next morning, there were thousands of baby spiders in the jar. She was heavy with babies and couldn't hold on any longer, so dropped down on me!

Then I thought about all those spiders growing up to become as big as their mother and they would all be in my basement. That was it! We moved our washer and dryer to the very top floor. And I never go down there!

Used to play with them when at school in the science lab(they were alive) couldnt even look at one now.
I have two cats too, but that is worse cos they bring them back!
