A question after reading a bit of a Creationism article on Wiki; includes Poll.
QUESTION
Do you think they should teach Evolution and Creationism? Or just Evolution? Or just Creationism? Or, do you think neither? And that it is up the parents to teach their children these subjects? Please use poll and explain your answer if needed. |

It's like I told my kids...they need to learn the theory of evolution much the same as a team studies an opponent before the big game. It's good to know the enemies game plan. They can learn evolution on a purely academic level, but not believe it.
Since the schools do not teach creation, I took it upon myself as a parent to find the appropriate materials to thoroughly teach them biblical scientific creation.

I heard this in a message in church.
They say, "Keep faith out of schools." However, there's no proof to the big bang theory. They're relying on...faith. To justify their theory. Keep faith out of schools!

A Reality: As long as the "type" of School District 'Administrators' who are generally in charge throughout the world exist, evolution is the only format that will be actively taught in PUBLIC schools. Answering a poll such as this may allow one to express their wishes, but it will have no effect on the manner in which the curriculum is formatted or taught in any PUBLIC school system. Since School Administrators are normally selected by the School Board, it is not an elected post in most areas and the average parent has absolutely no say as to whom is selected. The vast majority of School Board openings ARE elected positions, but unfortunately, these candidates are of the same mindset as the 'administrators' that they choose. As parents, we STILL do not have a counter-choice to place in office on the School Boards!
If anyone wishes for me to explain exactly who the "type" of 'administrators' are, contact me in PM for my reply. I'll give you a hint: the word starts with "L". |

I think that with all the scientific data that proves that evolution is false and impossible, that it shouldn't be taught any more. In fact the breakdown and falshoods of the "theory" should be taught and why it is not possible. Maybe even the lessons of how all of human kind was blindly following the writings of a mere human and ignoring the scientific and physical facts that proved the human wrong and what it did to the whole population even in this the 21st century. Just like when they thought the earth was flat.
I believe that creation is the only logical and scientific answer and truth to the beginning of life as we know it but if your children are being taught about God and Jesus creation would be there already. The parents should be the ones who teach the kids about "the beginning". When they get to school the things they learn in geography, math, physics, biology and other factual sciences will either reinforce what the parents have taught or disprove it. Let the parents then handle the conflict of fact and fiction. We shouldn't have teachers, who are supposed to be trusted by their students for truth in all the things they teach, teaching false facts and disproven or beleifs and discoveries that were dissmissed in courts of law as frauds. Children have so much to learn in such a short time. We shouldn't waste time on it. |

Hey, kid...here's what evolution is, and here's why some people believe it.
And then there's creationism, and here's why some people believe that. As the teacher, I'm not going to sway you either way - but remember: God gave you free will to decide for yourself. So you better chose wisely or He's going to be very upset with you.

sorry but there is a lot of evidence for the big bang...
what a lot of people don't understand is the theistic implications of the big bang.. thus you have christians who attack it... and humanists trying to speculate on ways to change it... because it says "the universe began" .. or "the universe was caused" ... yes, the jokes are funny... but the serious thing is that one of the greatest pieces of evidence people have for their faith they discard as an attack thereon. either way.. evolution requires faith. and I don't have enough faith to be an atheist.
