When you read through the Old Testament you will find that blood sacrifice was essential for the people of God. They sacrificed sheep and cattle.
In the New testament we read Heb 9:22 (ASV) And according to the law, I may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission. But the blood we have shed on our behalf is not from animals but the blood of Jesus on the cross. The son of God died so we can be forgiven. We do not revel in the blood but in what it means. The amazing love of God.

As HS has said- the wages of sin is death and without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. The blood of Christ not only cleanses us from sin and iniquity but it demonstrates the love He had for us that He was willing to pay such a price.

Blood is the lifeforce in the body. Without it, you can't live. Blood feeds and nourishes the entire body, carrying away wastes and feed hungry little cells oxygen. Blood is unique to each person - you might have the same blood-type as another person, but your blood is so different. Blood sugars, cholesterol levels, hormones, etc. Your blood is your signature. Blood identifies you as you. From blood you can make a map of your DNA. It would tell whoever looks at you that this is who you are.
The heart is where you feel things. It circulates your blood, round and round. There's nothing dirty or dreadful about blood - it's beautiful! God fashioned you, and he gave you your living blood. As long as your emotions-center circulates the blood around your body, you're alive! ![]() Blood is the protector of our bodies. Within one drop, there are countless cells. Red blood cells, white blood cells, antibodies. There's also infection in each drop. Impurities. But God in His wisdom fashioned microscopic protectors that engulf and consume anything bad in our blood. We're healed through this process, and it's constantly happening inside of us. Blood is holy. We're warned not to consume lifeblood from anything. Blood is alive, a liquid life form. We have no conscious influence over our blood, so it is (pretty much) an independently acting life within our bodies. When we're cut, our blood sends out strings that attach to one another. Like spiderwebs within the liquid that whip out. Spiderman's webs, if you will. This coagulates the blood and stops our precious blood from spilling out of a cut. This is human blood. Animal blood. It can do amazing things within and without us. We can donate our blood to help another person. Our blood is our stamp here. The fingerprint God has pressed into the putty of each of us. The Son of God also had blood. The Blood of the Lamb. The Blood of God. It had powers nobody else's blood has. The power to heal, to forgive, to save. The blood of God, when spilled, spread in all directions over all of mankind. So that whoever asked Him, whoever believes in Him, is saved. He's pretty amazing, isn't He?

The cornerstone of our very existance in Jesus Christ is focused on the cross. The cross where our Saviour Jesus Christ Bled and died for us to take away the sins of the world . Without His Crucifiction there would be no remission for our sins so it was very important that Jesus was slain as a sacrificial lamb for your sins and mine. This morning reading in Ephesians 1:7 it says.... In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace. In other. words we are set free by the blood of His death. And we have the forgiveness of sins. Woow ..... how rich is God's grace. !!!!! God gave us Jesus Christ freely and fully. Praise His name forever more. This is all in the plan and the purpose of God even before we were born. God's plan was carried out in His timing so that all things in heaven and on earth would be joined together in Christ as the head. Thinking about the Blood of Jesus there are a lot of churches who don't preach that enough any more and I feel very srongly that we should be getting back to the power of the Blood of Jesus Christ that saves from all sin.
