Lately I've been goign crazy obsorbing all the knowledge and scripture I can. I had a big growth spurt spiritually. Then eventually I felt I wasn't learning much anymore, even though I tried. Then God told me I need to get out there and put things into practice. I need to stop spending so much time on the computer.
Just thought I'd share. You never know who else needs to do the same.

balance and moderation in all things ehhh? God commands us to continue to learn, to be in His word.... so we can't or shouldn't have all activity of one kind or another any more than we can or should have all our spirituality happening strictly in our minds and our hearts. Keep learning and keep doing.

If we only ever absorb knowledge we become like a dead sea, only taking in, never giving out.
In ordeer to remain a healthy river there has to be a flow in and a flow out, otherwise we stagnate. On the other hand , we cant give what we dont have, so learning/receiving is important, but it should be the start not the end. God bless Mark 18! |

Mark..... A very profound thought and you know what I am guilty of that as well. I am spending less time on the computer but I also think it depends where we are on the computer as being here at CFS is not a bad thing and I have learned so much since I have been here. But yes you are so right and like you this winter has been so bad that it makes one stay in more. But we need to share more with the unsaved and it does not matter if it is just a few words to some one in the groacery store, if God asks us to do it ..... then do it . We never know how we impact others. Thanks Mark for that message.

I spent alot of time in study of the Word , this was good and right. But I never really experienced the power and anointing of God until I reached out in faith and love and touched the lives of others.
One thing I learned- never be intimidated by ant situation. Someone in a wheel chair or their deathbed needs you to lay hands and pray. Almost every person I have asked has readily accepted praying with me. Ask for wisdom and God will give you direction. I had a friend who felt God's call to minister but this wasn't one of the "pretty people" with "social graces" that Church folk readily embrace. One day he cried out God I want to minister but the Church has little to do with me. He heard God reoly " You want to be a street minister?" He answered yes to which God said " there is a street go and minister, I will be with you". That person now has a ministry that goes into the deepest darkest and most dnagerous places in the US. Having been involved in that for a while I can say that I had a police car pull up to me and say " man what are you doing here? You are crazy coming down here!" Indeed that was the only police car I ever saw in that area. Gunfire was rampant. Drugs, murder, etc- you name it and you found it there. That is alot of words I know but the point is if he had not cried out, if hthat person had not listen for God's voice many would have never been ministered to, preached to, helped and set free. Rev 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. Rev 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. The question is then do we have an ear to hear for His call is on each of us. |
