Default Who are true believers (in Jesus)?

Who are true believers?
True believers are people who believe God. They, therefore, value what God says and stands for; keep His commandments (John 14:15; 1 John 2:3-6); and live a Godly life. Shouldn’t they, therefore, like Jesus, love those who hate them (Luke 6:27) and sacrifice their own interest in order to compensate for the offenses their offenders have caused them? God stayed faithful to His people although they abandoned Him and were unfaithful to Him. Shouldn’t true believers, therefore, always stay faithful to their spouse; even if their spouse has been unfaithful to them (Hosea 3:1)? In addition, because God is love, true believers will have an absolute trust, that through love all problems can be solved. Shouldn’t they, therefore, not resort to law suites (1 Corinthians 6:7), revenge (Romans 12:19) and war (Matthew 5:21-22; Matthew 26:52; Ephesians 2:14-16 & Zech 4:6)?

A true believer wouldn't have to tell you that he's a true beliver...it would show to everybody around him unquestionably. A true believer wouldn't have to tack on the word "true" because he would understand that in God's eyes, there's believers and non-believers. God can tell the difference, because he sees right through to our cores.

A believer is humble in spirit. When something terrible happens, a believer will understand this as an opportunity for growth; not a curse from God. A believer can be battered and hurting and yet will never raise a hand against another, because punishment comes only from the Lord. A believer doesn't pray for punishment or judgment against others - but compassion and mercy. Because he knows that God is mercy and forgiveness.

A believer understands that we should hate sin...within our own bodies. We should strive to keep sin away from our own temples, keeping our own lives clean rather than keeping everybody else's lives spic-n-span.

A believer trusts God in everything and asks for guidance in all areas of his life from God and Jesus. A believer takes no credit for anything good - but gives all of the glory to God.

God speaks to the believer every day, through his holy Word.

I love my God!

Wow, that's a wise response. I don't even think Whirlwind needed the rest, that just speaks enough.

I agree. Someone who is a True believer doesn't have to walk around with "I am a true believer in God". The Holy Spirit shows in His people, and God knows who are His children or not.

That's why I don't like it when people put on airs when speaking of the LORD, saying stuff that most people would think a true believer would say. You know, those "televangelists" who speak all these "wise" words and raise their hands to the sky and wave back and forth speaking in tongues or saying things like "Oh, Father, I loooovvee you" in a husky, trance-like voice.

Jesus did not sue us. He compensated for the offenses we committed against Him by sacrificing His life.

Jesus did not go to war against the Roman occupiers. He sacrificed His life to free us (including the Roman occupiers) from sin.

Jesus never condemned war either, but in fact promised it would come.

Lawsuits are prohibited against fellow believers but nowhere in scripture are we prohibited against going to court against the lost when they have done wrong.

And Jesus said, “turn the other cheek”.
But He did not say, “let people walk all over you and abuse you”.
