Default Please get a copy of a 1 year Bible

Please get a copy of a 1 year Bible. This is the way I read the Bible every year. It's a good habit to start off the day reading from the Old Testament, the New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs as they have arranged.

If you miss any of this in the morning, read it in the evening.

NIV & KJV both have a 1 year Bible. Hope you get a copy.

Default Doesn't matter

It doesn't matter whether you trust it or not, if it's there in the Word Of God, it's valid for today.

Yes, Jeremiah..... I have one of those and it giv es you a good mix ... like you said and you are not always reading from the same book. But sometimes if I am reading from the old testament and it is a story that I like I tend to read into the next day and then have to backtrack. But that's not a big deal.

Yes I have on more that one occassion.
When I was a student at Rosebank Bible College in South Africa (before I went to theological college and before my training in psychology) we studied the bible rather than theology. On the first day I remember the head saying 'Do not worry about the final exam, I will give you the question now. There is only one question and you will have 12 hours to answer it. The question is this Write a review of the whole bible.'

Yes I did it and have the certificate to prove it but no I do not have a copy as it was never returned to us. Anyway that was a long time ago.
I found such a difference between Bible College and Theological College. At the Bible college we wanted to know what the bible said about people while at the theological college it felt as if they were more interested in what people said about the bible.
Prob just my experience of those specific colleges.

I've read the bible in entirity twice. Once when I was younger, it was a challenge, and again while in basic training. Four months of trying to get closer to God in a time of my life when I felt the farthest from him. During that time I felt like Job, were God had left him to test his faith. I didn't fare so well as Job did come I came out of it alive.

EDIT:

That's like saying, "I don't read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John because they all disagree on what Jesus did during his life."

Aside from acrostics, the Book of Esther doesn't mention God directly, it doesn't mention prayer, and it is not referenced in the N.T. However, it was canonized for a reason. Aside from the Church fathers referencing it along with other parts of the Bible, the Book of Esther teaches indirect aspects about God that we don't get fully from some other books. God will not let His followers be destroyed. In the historical sense, God would not let the line of Christ be destroyed either.

Unlike many false books, the Book of Esther can also be proven historically.

On Topic: I have a personality that can establish habits relatively easily (lucky me, I know) and reading the Bible entirely through worked very well. The Bible I was using has around 720 pages, so I just read 2 pages a day. However, (as mentioned before) there are now books and study plans and ways to "get through Leviticus" and other books without losing focus. I'd highly recommend these.

I found that reading the Bible all the way through did wonders for my spiritual life (which I briefly talked about here when I was doing a separate study). When you read the Bible entirely you start to learn things about God and His nature that might of been previously unseen.
