Let's spread some Love, right?
I feel so sorry for these people of this world! They don't know how to share and care! I know, I'm being mushy, but come on - people arguing, people fighting, people kicking - where's the Love? Where's God? What happened to Him in this World? Before you go out and argue with the cashier about the check, or angrily blow your horn at the 92-year-old lady going 2 inches per second around the corner, think about Jesus and what He did for you! He never argued or fought or spat or kicked when they accused Him, or when people rejected Him. Instead, He still continued to show them love and compassion - the love of God. So, instead of doing something out of anger or irritation, help someone. Help the old man get out of his car, or a child find their toy. A New Year's Resolution.

That reminds me of a story.
It was a few years ago. I stopped at the gas station in the small town I was living in. I was on my bike, dark sunglasses on, leather, looking a little “ratty”… as I walked up to the door to go in, I noticed a little old lady several steps behind me. I opened the door and stepped to the side to hold it open for her. She stopped dead in her tracks. You should have seen the look on her face. She didn’t know if she should trust me or not. I just stood there and smiled. She got her nerve back after a few seconds and walked into the store. It just feels good to do something nice, even if it’s just holding a door open for someone. Blessings to all Dean

NTG.... Yes there are too many angry people in this world and we should be the example. We should be showing God's love to others.
Just about an hour ago there were two drivers ahead of me arguing and if you could have heard the language. and they were calling each other all the names in the book. All I wanted to do is get out of the parking lot and they were holding every one else up.

I believe strongly in this.
The bible says that we can heap coals on the heads of our enemies by showing them love and kindness. We can destroy our enemies completely by making them our friends. But this is hard to do sometimes. The bible also says that God will protect us from our enemies...so wait a minute, if we destroy our enemies by making them our friends; then who is God protecting us from? I like to think that if we obey the commandments of God, we'll have no enemies except for those that we want to invent. That is, finding faults in other people and deciding in our hearts to make them enemies of our own (not of God's). But again - it's so hard to do! That grouchy lady who tailed me into Walmart one day and screamed at me: "Do you drive a silver cadillac?!" I told her, no - I drive a gold caddy. "Whatever! You know you almost ran over me twice in the parking lot? Once by the front door and then again when you stole my parking spot!?" When I got to Walmart, it was empty. And I always park far away from the door because there's proof that empty parking spaces around you decreases your chances of having to use your insurance to make repairs. Also, I like to believe that by me (young and able to walk) parking further away from the door, someone older than me that isn't able to walk so well was spared the agony of making it to the front door by being able to park closer to the store than I did. So I knew the lady just wanted to argue, and it made me angry. But I remembered in my heart that I should shower my enemies with kindness and love. It was hard to do, but it happened. "I'm sorry you're having such a bad day," I told her. And it was true! It looks like I had slapped her instead of showing concern for her. Her eyes bugged out. "I hope your day gets a little better, and I'll be praying for you." This lady practically ran away from me. I think she wanted to argue, but what I did was to show her compassion that she wasn't willing to dish out herself. It scared her, and made her run. Today, we see so many people out for themselves. They want to get there first. They want to be number one. The spotlight should always be on them, nobody else. They want their cut first. So on. These people also sit in church every Sunday, and that's the pity about it. Church is everywhere. God is everywhere. Every day should be Sunday in the heart of a Christian. It's hard, oh yeah! But it's possible for a Christian to show compassion and kindness, even to someone who's screaming into your face.

It's hard and difficult, people don't love eachother anymore. But it's in the bible:
mat 24:12 says Evil will spread and cause many people to stop loving others. So we must work hard to show the world the opposite! ( Gods love) |
