Default A few questions about this forum cos Im new..

Hi, I'd like to first thank everyone for being so warm and welcoming. What more could I expect from a group of Christians tho, it's beautiful.

I have a few questions...

Is there a "my topics" list where I can check to see status of threads I have wrote in, (I couldnt find one to click on)

Also since I don't know anyone in person on here (I don't think lol) is it ok to add some pp on my buddy list (I haven't added anyone yet)

Also Im having a hard time viewing my profile it seems I have to go to a message I post then click on my pic and click view profile to get there..is there an easier way?

Thanks in advance for your answers & God bless!!

No, not any that I know of, sorry. But, you can try your profile by clicking on your User Name in the "Active Users" list on the Index page and going to "Find more posts/threads by such and such".

Yes! You are free to add anyone to your Buddy List! Just go to their profile and look for the "Add such and such to your Buddy List"

No, it seems that this is the only way other than clicking on your name in a post, thread, of private message.

In the upper left hand corner is a place called "control panel." Click on that and you should see your "subscribed threads." Those are all the threads that you have posted in already. I don't know if the forum default has it turned on or not. If not, then you can turn it on in your "control panel" also. This is done under "edit options."

Also from your "control panel" you can edit your profile. To view your profile, you can click on your name anywhere you see it on the forum. For example, if you are on the main forum page, scroll all the way down to currently active users and click on your name there.

I never use forum buddy lists, but I don't think that anyone would mind if you wanted to buddylist them.

Subscribed threads are threads you have to subscribe to; the forum does not automatically "subscribe" you to all your threads.

If it is not the forum default to automatically subscribe to threads, then it can be enabled in the user control panel under edit options. This way you do not have to manually subscribe to threads. It will do it automatically every time you post in one.

It automatically subscribes me to the ones I add a post to. I don’t think I had to change any options for that. You can also manually subscribe to a thread without posting so you can keep track of it.

Hm...I guess this forum is a lot different from others I've been with subscribed threads. I guess this one has manual subscriptions.

I liked the 'New Topics' suggestion and so I added a shortcut link on the orange navigation bar on top. See: 'My Topics' link on top

In options, under messaging, there is an option called "Default Thread Subscription Mode" and you can set it to automatically subscribe to threads you post in.
