Question my parents tempt me to worship other gods, what should i do?

Hi there,

Previously I told you guys that my parents are Buddhist. I told my mom that I don’t have business with the Buddhist temple anymore. They don’t like it.

Even she knows that I’m a Christian she asked me to come to the Buddhist temple to get blessing from Buddha and to spell over me by Buddhist & Hindu spells and prayers so that it would wipe out all the bad days that I have but I said I’M NOT GOING TO THE Buddhist temple anymore. She told me that she said to the head priest of the temple that I’m also visiting the temple but I said I’m not going. I said this even by knowing that they would be disgraced because I have already told them that I have no business with the Buddhist temple. But they keep pushing me. It seems like they are trying so many ways of temptations for me to return to Buddhism but I WILL NOT!

However, my parents went to the Buddhist temple today and brought a jar of spelled & prayed water. They said that if I wash my face from it all my bad days will be turned to good. They so blindly believe that they brought this jar of spelled water as if it is the most precious thing.

Then my mom came to my room and asked me to wash my face from it, I denied. Then she told me to wash my face from it, I denied. Then she said to me “you are giving problems to us, so wash your face” I denied. I said to my mom what ever you say I’m NOT going to wash my face from that spelled water. They she started to mourn groan and threaten. But I didn’t wash my face from it.

Then I prayed and asked GOD to forgive them.

I’m afraid that she might try out other tactics to make me drink or wash my face with it. We drink from our family water canister. There is a chance that she might put that spelled water to that canister. So when I poured water to a glass to drink I would be drinking that spelled water without my knowledge. She even can put this spelled water into food while she is cooking so one way or the other she would try all things to make me drink or to get in contact with that spelled water. When I’m writing this I locked my door because I was afraid that she might put some of that spelled water to her hand and sprinkle on to me.

By drinking this spelled & prayed water by other religions I know I will be committing sin. But what can I do to protect my self from committing this sin?

If I get contact with this spelled water or drink it without my knowledge, would I be exposed to demons or would I displease god, would I commit sin? Would my shield of protection be diminished?

Even if I drink this water without my knowledge what should I do to protect my self? Would my shield of protection be diminished?

If some one sprinkle this spelled water on to me forcefully, would I be committing sin? Would my shield of protection be diminished?

I have stayed away from other religions but the people around me use their authority and relationships to push me to commit sin like this.

At the moment I feel like that I should buy water and food from the supermarket, because of this spelled water incident.

Should I get food and water from another place?

I think demons are attacking me severely because I’m about to leave this country in three days.

I’m praying for my parents everyday and every day I ask GOD to forgive them for their sins and to protect them.

I am pleased to see you standing for your faith- do not back down but at the same time be loving and respectful.
You are only responsible for what you know. There is no spell as strong as the blood of Jesus. Pray and ask Him to sanctify all you eat and drink.
Many blessings in Jesus holy Name!

There is a scripture that says anything posinous or harmful to you that you drink, it will not harm you because you are His child. Someone will come up with this scripture for me because I don't know where it is. But I know what a good witness you could be to your parents by proving to them that you are not afraid to drink even their blessed water because God is guiding you now. Someone else can help me with this, please.

You will not be held accountable for drinking or eating the water without your knowledge. Nor if it is sprinkled on you. God knows the intentions of your heart. He knows that you have rejected and refused the water. You already know that the water holds no spell, even though your parents believe that it does. The only spell it holds is for those who believe in it. It holds no power or spell for you, and if you unknowingly ingest it you are not held accountable. Pray that God blesses all the food and drink that goes into your body, and thank him for providing you with it. The only "spell" that water will have is the blessing of God. Maybe you should start praying a blessing over your family water canister daily. Maybe some of God's blessings will spill out onto your family.

Try letting your family see God in your life rather than always hearing you tell them "no." I worded that oddly, so it doesn't sound right. What I mean is.....instead of focusing on the negatives and on what you will not do, instead try letting your parents see the relationship that you have with God. Do they see you pray to him? The Bible says to let your light so shine before men that they may see the good work which is performed in you, and glorify your father which is in heaven. Try shining the light of God in your home. Let your parents see God in you. Instead of just telling them that you are a Christian, show them. Start praying your own blessings over the family water container. Openly express thanks to God in front of your parents for giving you such caring parents. Because, even though their means are wrong (bringing you spell water) their intentions to help you are pure and considerate. Next time thank them, and thank God for such caring parents in front of them, but then tell them that you can not accept the water because you know where it came from.

(Maybe you already are letting your light shine, and if so, please don't think that I am in any way being critical.)

That is so true! The fact is that, just because the water could harm them, or bless them, it would not touch you because you don't believe any of it. It's your faith in something that makes it so. And it's a great idea to pray for your family in front of them. I'm sure they can see something in your face since you have accepted Christ. Good answer.

Luk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

God is with you brother ,no demon can lay claim to what is His. Keep your eyes on your Lord and you will never falter. Much lovein Christ, Larry.
