I gave up on football in college. I'm watching the Mythbusters marathon LOL.
God bless, Star

I don’t even know who was playing. When I see the part time maintenance man at work tomorrow, he’s going to ask, “did you see the game” and I’ll tell him, like I always do, “I don’t even have a TV anymore…remember?”

Mike, while Tom Petty may or may not have a relationship with Christ, you're taking his lyrics out of context here.
Here's the entire song lyrics: "She's a good girl, loves her mama Loves Jesus and America too She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis Loves horses and her boyfriend too It's a long day living in Reseda There's a freeway runnin' through the yard And I'm a bad boy cause I don't even miss her I'm a bad boy for breakin' her heart And I'm free Free fallin' {CHORUS} Yeah I'm free Free fallin' All the vampires, walkin' through the valley Move west down Ventura Boulevard And all the bad boys are standing in the shadows And the good girls are home with broken hearts And I'm free Free fallin' {CHORUS} Yeah I'm free [ Lyrics found at www.mp3lyrics.org/isA ] Free fallin' (free fallin, I'm a) (free fallin, I'm a) (free fallin, I'm a) (free fallin, I'm a) I wanna glide down, over Mulholland I wanna write her, name in the sky wanna freefall out into nothing Gonna leave this world for a while And I'm free (freefallin I'm a, freefallin I'm a) Freefallin (freefallin I'm a, freefallin I'm a) Ya I'm free (freefallin I'm a, freefallin I'm a) Freefallin (freefallin I'm a, freefallin I'm a) (freefallin I'm a) (freefallin I'm a) Ya I'm free freefalling Oh (freefallin I'm a, freefallin I'm a) Freefallin (freefallin I'm a, freefallin I'm a) Ya I'm free (freefallin I'm a, freefallin I'm a) Oh freefallin (freefallin I'm a, freefallin I'm a) (freefallin I'm a, freefallin I'm a) By the way, the reference to vampires is a metaphore for those that prey on others, as he did the girl, not to mean the actual blood suckers. In no way is he being critical of the girl for loving Jesus, or even making any general statement against God, but he is contrasting herinnocence and purity of character with his own to make a point, that he's actually being critical of himself, as you see in the rest of the song. Nor does his song claim reflect the views of everyone involved in the event itself. He was invited to perform because he has a fan base that the producers hope will keep people tuned in so they can charge their $3million per commercial durring the break in the game, and keep the fans at the game entertained. He has a broad appeal, and that song was a hit in the early 90's for him. I'm not pointing this out to defend the song, cause I'm not a big fan of Tom Petty, but to simply say that before passing judgement, one should be sure to have a good understanding of the true context of what is being judged. I'm going to say this with the most love and respect for ya, brother: Trying to find and point out evil in an evil world is fruitless and in no way glorifies God. We cannot expect non believers to behave like believers, and then judge them for behaving otherwise. Only those who believe in Christ will glorify Him. To expect anything better than indifference or or objection from those who do not know Him, is like expecting a camel to lay eggs. I believe that the time and energy you spend theorizing about and pointing out Satan's influence in His own inhabitance would be better spent illustrating and praising God's love for His children and the hope and strength that a relationship with Christ gives all of us over the darkness of the enemy's presence, and sharing that hope with those that have not yet experienced it. God bless you, Steve |

New York Giants: 17
New England Patriots: 14 Now, if they had just played that game IN the New England area OUTDOORS in the snow storm, it would have been perfect!! The touchdown pass to Burress with 35 seconds remaining in the game was kind of cool, though. But it would have been "COOLER" outdoors...LOL.
