Default Mustard Seed & Telekenesis

Interesting...

If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you could tell a mountain to throw itself into the ocean, and it would listen to you.

...what if people who have telekenesis really do have faith the size of a mustard seed? There is absolutely no doubt within them, their faith is unquestionable. That's how they're capable of doing what they're doing.

*sorry, just thinking*

...but then along with such faith comes the responsibility of knowing; if I told that mountain to move, I could damage people living around that mountain. And with that much faith, it wouldn't be a game to them. They wouldn't do it just to do it.

Anyways, I'm thinking again...hee hee

It is not telekenesis but faith in God that moves mountians.

Sometimes it’s hard to have enough faith to move myself out of bed in the morning.

It’s getting better though. I’m almost done being sick. A little over a week this time.

Who am I, sometimes I think that takes the strongest faith, to get out of bed each day and do what needs to be done, to glorify God in all the seemingly mundane tasks and human interactions. Glad you're feeling better. Not to rub it in, but I haven't even had a cold yet this year. I should put that in the "thankful" thread.

Whirlwind, imagine if two people of faith got into a dispute over where a particular mountain should go. Imagine the noise, dust, and confusion!

Rumely - now that's what I'm talking about!

The stuff that stirs up the imagination and makes you go - what if?

Who Am I - I hope you get to feeling better soon. Poor thing.

When I was a young, my brothers and my dad and I would sit around the living room in conversation. Somewhere in the course of the conversation, in relation to whatever was the particular subject at hand, one of us would say "what if....." postulating some improbable silliness. The others would take up the theme, proposing increasingly fantastic absurdities until we were all laughing so hard we could hardly breath. Such good times.

My mom and dad would take us to any movie they were going to see. I saw some truly horrible movies when I was a kid; and some truly great movies! I remember, every night while driving home from the drive-inn theater, we'd all start out our conversation. Mom would make it like a mental exercise for us; it was great! What would you do differently if you wrote that story? What if this happened...? How would that change the story? I used to love it.

Today I have a whole trunk full of stories (most of them I would never publish). I've won writing contests and even worked as a journalist for a good part of my life. I'm writing an average of a manuscript for each year I'm alive. It's a great hobby and I've been told I have a good imagination.

Never would have had that without Mom's What If exercises, heh.

Then again...I inherited my dad's imagination. He used to torture his little sister when they were little by telling her bedtime stories about ghosts and pirates and such. He'd get to the best part, look around the room with big eyes, and then say: "To be continued..."

LOL - my aunt would kick and scream and call for their mom. She still gets upset about those nights when we visit her, hah!

You know, I once knew a family that actually did have faith and prayed, and a mountain was LITERALLY moved. They lived in New England, and their house was deep in the woods. They had a beautiful home, but it was a long, long way away from work, shopping, school, etc, because there were too many mountains in the way. For 2 years they prayed, that God would provide for them. One day, the government showed up with a bunch of big machines, and literally flattened one of the mountains because it contained some mineral or something that was valuable. It opened a trail, which eventually became a road. In this case, a little faith, and the mountain was moved.
