My mom almost died in the hospital on Easter 1980 - I still remember that dreadful song, "Angel of the Morning" constantly playing on the radio during those days.
Anyway, the doctors gave up hope and were settling on her death then. The Shakers were called in to work on Mom, and she got better. When she regained consciousness, she opened her eyes and told the doctor, "Your daughter is going to ruin both of your lives if you don't get a hold of her now!" The doctor looked at Mom is disbelief. "You don't know my daughter!" My mom described the doctor's house, his daughter, and what she was doing to her father. Mom said that while she was in death, she was released from her body and was flying around. Something pulled her to the doctor's home and showed her his daughter. She was controlling, manipulating, doing bad things to her dad. She said he had a huge house with vaulted ceilings, a pool, and huge glass walls. The doctor sent my mom a letter later on in years thanking her and letting her know that things turned out fine. I believe in near-death experiences. I've never had one myself, and I know that some doctors can explain experiences as random electrical discharges by a dying brain...but come on. The universe of flesh and blood is limited. The spirit God has given all of us endures forever and we have the free will to make the choice where we'll dwell in that time.
