Yes Grannyg. Here is the link:

http://www.ccc-cce.ca/english/home/member.htm

I am generally happy with our present church situation actually, other than this one thing which is effecting not just my church denomination, but MOST denominations.

It is the head quarters of our Baptist church (Baptist Union of Western Canada) that sends funds to the CCC. Please don't worry about me, but please pray for the many thousands of people/families who likely don't know or maybe even don't care about the issue.

This monetary support issue is really just fallout from the real problem, and that is the growing popularity of blind ecumenical tolerance of false religion.

You nailed it.

It's like making good soup! Only the proper ingredients can go into it. I edited out something that was really too sarcastic and probably inappropriate, but the point I was trying to make is that
people in positions of authority really need to be close to our Lord and pray for the filling of the Holy Spirit in order to make proper decisions!

I'd just like to circulate this around again and hopefully get a few more brief answers by other members to the original question.

Is it right to tithe to a church where some of the money is going to an ecumenical organization called the CCC (Canadian Council of Churches) which includes Catholics in it's membership, and in fact, even hold positions of authority within?

I can not believe it! The CCC actually voted in a Catholic president June 21, 2000. There is a new president now, but I must say... I'm stunned!

That's right Whirlwind and also I think what Frank is searching for is the Lord asks us to be good stewards of our money and if you have doubt then don't do it.

Thats right Dusty, but I sure don't want people to stop tithing that's for sure. Rather, it would likely be wise to give directly to needs in the church rather than have it go to the churches denomination headquarters... that is if the denomination is in this list of CCC members below. It actually covers most mainstream churches. Our church belongs to the Baptist Union of Western Canada.
