Azarias is on a distinguished road
Default Nature and the Word

Who else here loves reading the Bible outdoors? Somehow to me, it takes on a whole new meaning when you can glance up and see God's creation all around you. Inside, you are often surrounded by things of man, but outside you are in God's world that he said was "Good".

Of course, there are things of man outside too like pathment, artificial grass, landscapes, etc. But even so, it is still refreshing to be outdoors.

Today I had the most peaceful experience with this. The sky was clear and blue, the breeze was light, the temperatures were cool. I went outside with a towel and laid it upon the ground. I took my NKJV Bible with me.

And I sat there with my dog nearby and enjoyed a good half hour of reading the Gospel of Matthew.

I really have never felt as connected during Bible reading before. I felt a little sad when I came back indoors because it was simply not as nice as outdoors...

What are some of your similar experiences?

Azarias... I guess you don't live in the frigid north. My neibours would think I was totally of the wall if I read outdoors.now.

Just trying to be funny but in the summer I love to read outside. It is calming and relaxing. and I love to just be looking at all the flowers and sometimes birds. God' s handy work is perfect.

That is why Arizona is great in the 'cold' months.

During the summer, I really would not care to be outdoors.

I too love creation, the beautiful views, the creatures all of it.
It helps me to remember the Awsomeness of God, that the same God who created that, chose and loves me.
Thankyou Lord.

I love to find a quiet place where there are no wireless phones, no email, no cars, no Starbucks, no intrusions of modern life, and just spend an hour or two reading outside.

You can learn a lot by reading math books in math; psycology texts in class, a book on how to make a cabinet in shop.

So it seems natural to be outdoors reading the Word where, when you read something that really hits you hard, you can look up and see the creations as one perfect complex.

I love that feeling.

Aaaaaah!

Good Morning Everyone,

I live in North West Indiana and I love to sit on my front porch which faces a pretty park. With the exception of the Winter months, it is my favorite place to read.

I love the little fish

Welcome heaven bound. What a great handle. Yes I too love to read out doors but not in the winter. Blessings to you.
