This would cause massive extinctions and would hurt ecosystems around the world that would end up hurting people quite a bit. Its important to at least look at the subject seriously for our children.
Looking at it seriously does not however mean agreeing with it. The scientific evidence over the last year seems to support global cooling.

It was hot today. I drank three Gatorades through the course of the day. I dropped one accidentaly though. I mopped it up and the water on the floor evaporated. I think what's-his-name is onto something.

hahaha... It was 100 up here too! My dog just sat in front of the air conditioning vents. Can't blame him! This heat wave may be just an unusual event. It would be another thing if it happened habitually.

BTW, today I stumbled on this site:
Evangelical Climate Initiative A Christian Call to Action on Climate

They say that climate change is real and poses an environmental hazard to the world's population. Poor nations won't have the resources to deal with environmental catastrophes so we as Christians should help spread the Good News to peoples affected this way by help giving them the resources they need.

I think it is a good thing. Even if climate change isn't a man made phenomenon, it is important to reach out to the poor affected by climatic/environmental disasters who do not have the materials necessary to do so themselves.

I live just outside of Washington DC. We went from 70's to the upper 90's within a week. Nice and stick also. I hate the warm weather. Give me 40-50 any day.

Where my brother lives in Mammoth Lakes CA the mountian is releasing Co2. How many mountians in the world could be releasing such gasses? So yes maybe the earth is warming, but I don't think its man created.

When I was in grade school in the 1950's I remember the "very real threat of the next ice age." The scientists of the 1950's were concerned that the earth was cooling off rapidly (of course this was proved by statistics.) Iremember seeing drawings of huge sheets of ice hanging off of the Empire State building. They even suggested that now was the time to install heating elements on it to prevent it from toppling over from the weight of the ice that was sure to come. Ha ha, wrong again.

I agree, Heavnlydove.
Global-warming advocates and extremists don't want people to know that much of this "global warming" is not man-made.
Global-warming has been gone on for years and this is not the first time. I am sure it has been a lot hotter than what it is now.
But, the extremists don't want people to know that; they take advantage of people's lack of knowledge and manipulate them to believe what they say, so that they won't go and get their own facts and realize the truth.
Taken from a Japanese proverb: If you believe everything you read, better not read.

The government just wants us to have slower fuel-efficient cars and hybrids so that we can't outrun them when they want to imprison us for no reason.

Well, ask yourself why the other planets are warming also. Is it because of man made pollution on earth?
