They are just statics replacing the christian blogs ad on the front page. So no height increase or irritating ad blocks.

I think I know what you mean. The blog ad attracts members for the blog sections and that is a good thing to the bloggers. Ok so I'll shift this ad to the top (changing the heights a lil bit). This will then be a horizontal ad.

I like the blogging section and I think it will only do good promoting this section.

Tell me about it. There were lots of spam registrations here but thankfully vBulletin team keep updating their software to make it as secure as possible. When trouble makers target this site, I immediately switch to moderating each and every account.
