WE JUST NEED TO OPEN OUR EYES, EARS AND HEARTS.

So today I am praying about my move, my confidence, my faith and such. I even read scripture out loud with the Human Resource director today.

Short version,
I go to Walmart tonite to get cleaning supplies, I cannot find a bucket, so I decide I will just grab a bathroom trash can to use.. then I decided $ 4.00 was not worth it.. so I set it aside and told myself I would just get one a the dollar tree for $ 1.00 tomorrow. On the way home I see the Dollar store.. so I stop. On my way in I see Taco bell. told myself I would have dinner there aftwards. On way out of store, I smell something good. so I go to the little restararunt next to Taco Bell.

I sit in the back. Waitress took my order. I started to pray.. I heard God say you need to give her $ 20.00 I thought what!!!! I need to pay $ 1,000 for moving on Monday! .. anway as she was waiting on another table she gave them bill, said God Bless. She came to my table to check on me. I told her it was awesome to hear that.. I needed that .. I said where are you from? she said Olean!!!!! the town I am moving from.. she had moved here a bit. ago. . I asked what church she went to here.. she is searching for one.. She went to the same church that I did in my old town!!!!! The one that has really helped me on my faith walk!!!!! She knew the pastors and such... I could not believe it! I wrote my cell phone number done, gave her the slip of paper and the $ 20.00 and told her it was from the Lord.. she is working 2 jobs waitressing , trying to make a living and she had just finished up school.. she exchanged her number with me.. We are going to get together when I get settled.

The moral of this story is.. keep on believing! Keep having that Faith! Walk with confidence.. KEEP YOUR EYES, EARS, AND HEARTS OPEN.. Follow him.. he led me to put the wastebasket back, he led me to the dollar store, he led me to change my agenda for dinner..

I bet if you really started walking and believing and started listening, you will see things happen in your life each day!

Hugs to you all.. I just had to come back to work tonite to use the computer to share with all of you.. Ok..so now that the lesson from the most recent message got through to me.. what's next Bondman?

Robin
I couldn't agree more that we need open EARS, EYES, and HEARTS!!

Because of your faith you have what could easily be called a holy boldness. Holy cos it's of God, and any boldness stems from Him and being surrendered to Him. The recipients of this are blessed because of your commitment in Christ, and it sure is lovely to see you just walking with Him, guided by the Spirit, and taking the day as it comes, ready and willing to do, go, say whatever He says.

This is such a great platform from which to continue to learn and grow towards being mature in Jesus. Thankyou so much for sharing, dear one!

(Hmm... 'what's next' is coming... hee!)

Message #68

CHALLENGE!!! - Part 1

Quote:
I realized that the cost of following Jesus in anything could very well be persecution, hostility, derision, alienation.
Yes, all of these. And depending on where you may be: comfort and ease, money, materialism, a rich life-style, and more. That is, GOD IS CALLING ON US ALL TO BEAR THE COST OFCHANGING OUR WAY OF LIFE AND OUR ATTITUDE TO ALL OF THOSE!!!

However, the $64,000 question is:

Are We Listening?

What's your answer? And if God took you home today like He took Fluffy's Dad (life is SHORT - VERY short!) what are you gonna say to Jesus at His Judgment Seat when all of us will give account of ALL OF OUR DEEDS, then receive and/or most expecially LOSE REWARDS! You want to LOSE a pile of rewards in heaven?? Well, it's almost certain you will!! - unless you decide to get really drastic, start considering and praying, AND make the decision that you are gonna give up living and thinking such overwhelming WORLDLINESS as we Westerners do!!!

Please, I'm not trying to offend or upset anyone here, or be 'bossy', or anything like that. I'm trying to HELP - because I LOVE you, alright!!

Speaking about us READING the WORD as we were in Message #64, let's go to some very pertinent Scriptures:

1 John Ch 2
15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Whoa, How STRONG is THAT!!!

If you love the WORLD and the THINGS of the world, then what? GOD'S LOVE IS NOT IN YOU! Did you get that??? Can you see why this is something I'm always speaking about? THIS IS EXTREMELY SERIOUS STUFF, MY DEAREST FRIENDS!!! NOT something to mess about with! Here are the next two verses for you to READ and STUDY, and mark and inwardly digest - and that's for NOW, and also for YOUR WHOLE FUTURE in eternity:

16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever [lives, continues on forever] .

Nowhere even NEAR everyone will continue on forever. Be comfortable in this world, and you're then WITHOUT THE FATHER'S LOVE!!! Could you get to heaven without His love being in you? I sure wouldn't want to try!!!! Be warned by Jesus as He says this:

Matthew Ch 7
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father [who is] in heaven.

A prime part of His will is that we NOT be worldly, but Spiritual. Because:

Mark Ch 8
36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

Who Would Want THAT?

Trust me, no one should really WANT to gain THE WHOLE WORLD - by living just like THE WORLD, and being a part of THE WORLD we live in. But if we don't or won't CHANGE, then that's EXACTLY WHERE WE'LL STAY, AND THUS WE WILL LOSE OUR SOUL! What we really SHOULD want is to be Seriously SPIRITUAL PEOPLE! NOT exhibiting all these aspects of carnality. NOT CONFORMING to the patterns of LIVING and ATTITUDES just like the people of this world who live all around us.

IT'S TIME!! This is your CHALLENGE! Time for your commitment to GOD to become FIRST in your life, ahead of love of THINGS and COMFORT and CONFORMING to the world! I shall be in prayer for you. Our prayer partners will be too. Together we can do this! We can CHANGE! We can TRULY BECOME ALL HIS!!!

Part 2 continued here...

With much love!!

- BM, with his Beloved

I must say it is ironic, this was on the board tonite... As I was driving to my friend's house tonite to do my 2 weeks worth of laundry, I pulled into a beautiful new housing development.
I looked at the house on the corner, and thought wow what a beautiful home, someday I may have one of those.. (fleshly side talking here) , then I said outloud, Lord you know what plans you have for me and what I will have, what you Lord want me to have.

It then struck me that this beautiful home, is only a shell. What really counts is what is on the inside of the home, more importantly what is on the inside of the folks that live in the home.
What is in their heart? Is Jesus in their heart? It is so sad to think that there are so many lost souls within shells. Our bodies are our shells, what is inside of yours? I am finding on my spiritual journey that the things of the world are really starting to bug me.. Praise the Lord.. I have found that I am getting better and better at Not Living a Second Rate Life.. I mean really! The Lord wants us to have a victorious life.. we are the ones who ruin it all with our fleshly wants and desires..

Is it easy searching what is in our shell and living totally for the Lord? No.. I have struggles each and every day, as I am sure so many of you do.

The Lord has blessed me abundantly in so many ways lately, and I am not speaking financially here, no in many ways.. What I am really learning is that God is putting me through the refining fire lately, I just keep praying and asking him to continue to give me the strength.

This is a very busy week for me. I have to pack up my current apartment in 2 days, which is a huge apartment, and the movers come 6:00 A.M. on Monday to move me to my new town. To my new apartment the Lord blessed me with. Yes it is smaller, yes I will have to downsize some of my worldly things, but oh man it is so worth it.. The ultimate home the Lord has for you and for me.. is with him.. Are you ready to give it all, and live with him? I am telling ya.. it is so much more peaceful and calm living in his home. Take some time to see what is inside of your shell.

Hugs
Faithwoman

Hmm... interesting indeed, hon! - our "home" here, or our "home" up there? We sure GOTTA LOOK SERIOUSLY AT THIS - cos if our home and all the other stuff here is too important to us, we could completely miss out on our true Home in Heaven! (because if we love the world the Father's love IS NOT IN US!! 1 John 2:15)

And wouldn't that be worse than TRAGIC!!!

Thinking of you and praying as the big shift day arrives!

What's your purpose in studying Geography, gbemiga? What sort of work will this allow you to do later?

I have to admit I liked History more than Geography when I was at school many decades ago! Today we have a good Atlas close by all the time, because there are so many countries in the world that it's hard to keep track of where they are, their capital, and so on. For example, I'd have to use it to find what your capital is!

SOME PRAYER GUIDES - 2

Part 1 is here

FOR BELIEVERS

Personal prayer can mostly be you and the Lord spending time together. Just talking, i.e., formality is NOT needed. You don't necessarily have to address Him - He knows if you're speaking to Him! (but it's okay). You don't need any 'Amens' or even 'In Jesus Name' to finish - praying has to be in His name anyway, by definition!

If you PRAY ALOUD, whether normal or quietly you'll find this so much better. Try it! It can be good to talk to Him about things you've read in the Word, or that you've learnt here. Talk to Him as to a friend - cos that's Who He is!!

"Please increase my faith. I need more faith, I really do. I want to trust YOU always!"

"I don't want to be conformed to this world. Help me to put You first."

At wake-up time: "Lord, bless this day to YOUR glory!"

"Thankyou that every time a bad thought comes into my head when I press 'Delete' straight away, You then stop it because I've chosen NOT to allow it to go further into my mind - to actually start thinking about it. Your power is so awesome, Lord Jesus!"

"Help me to put You ahead of all the self-centered things I want in this life..."

"Thankyou for helping me! I DO appreciate that lots."

"God, I need Your Spirit's power for today. I know He's with me and in me. I truly trust You for this - and here I go!"

- BM, with his Mrs
