A big and bless-ed HELLO to everyone!

Waited for the Lord to give me a message to write this morning, but nothing -- instead with 5 computers now in our house in various stages of messiness - all requiring a lot of work still: 2 to be setup to keep, and 3 to be finished setting up to sell on Ebay (one is virtually done, hallelujah!) - well, basically the whole she-bang is pretty-much out of hand, and both of us rather overwhelmed by it all....

But no doubt I'll be back sometime within 24 hours lovely peoples, you can depend on it! But for the moment I better unpack the 5th PC, connect it to the Network, get XP Pro registered with Microsoft and start to setup our important stuff on it from my main, old and tired 'puter - being the one that played up so badly and which started this whole sorry business off.... over FOUR months ago!!! Can it really be that long this has been going on?? Grrrr!! *oops, please pretend I didn't say 'Grrrr!!' lol*

YOU'RE NEVER ALONE - TRULY!

I gotta say that I don't get why we Believers are always struggling with trying to do things on our own! Well maybe I do. We're surrounded by 'things' aren't we, virtually NONE of which help us with our Spiritual life - but rather the opposite! Then what happens? - well, we feel like God is not there... and so that makes things even HARDER still for us!

But of course He IS! And seems to me that in the verse below, God's gone to a WHOLE GREAT LOT OF WORK in the Greek text to spell out His very personal message DIRECTLY to YOU and to ME - so that we cannot POSSIBLY not get it: that He is ALWAYS with you, NEVER separated from YOU!!! No, not even by committed sin!... because ALL sin was forgiven at the cross, for each and every one who's accepted His sacrifice as being personally and specifically for ME!!!


Okay, here are the simple words from the Greek New Testament as in the New King James translation:

Hebrews 13
5b. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

GOD Himself said this!!! He said "never". Maybe I'm wrong but I think that when He says "never" - hey, that's EXACTLY what He means!!!

But let me give you some extra news - wonderful news - when we dig further into the meaning of the Greek text, as translated (and explained) in The Amplified Bible:

Hebrews 13
5b.For He (God) Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake nor let [you] down, [relax my hold on you]. -- Assuredly not!

Explanation 1:

In the Amplified, words in square [] brackets are NOT in the original verse being translated. But the translaters consider that they most certainly are part of Biblical truth! So they put them there to help our understanding - just so long as we always remember that they're NOT in the particular Scripture right there. For this reason many times I don't read them - cos I want to know just what God said. But sometimes I do read them, and they can be VERY helpful indeed!

Explanation 2:

Are you surprised about the "I will not" - repeated no less than THREE times! I sure was the first time I read it. I thought to myself, "Umm, what's going on here? Doesn't the Greek just say, 'I will not?' - and that's it.

Well NO! Christian Greek scholars who really 'get' what the original language is saying see that there are actually three negatives expressed in the Greek!!! Was God trying to, ahh, maybe STRESS something here?!! And if we leave the square brackets out for a moment, we have something like this:

I will, "NOT, NOT, NOT leave you alone!!!" And we could also legitimately say that God added: "NO WAY, HOSAY!!" Wow, that sure works for ME! And I hope it does for you also.

So please learn to ignore your FEELINGS, and any 'aloneness' that, trust me, you WILL feel from time to time - that God really has gone right away from you, maybe even as far as 1 million miles away! NOT SO!! HE'S STILL WITH YOU - ALWAYS!!!!
