If all ya'll are taking prayer requests and think of this lady's firefighter... be believing with us that he will pass his tests with flying colors and be promoted with the next round of promotions! And that he will do great on all his evals! I'm praying for favor among his 'critics' as they evaluate his performance on the job and not their personality 'conflicts' that can cloud one's judgement! I appreciate all the prayer agreement as I believe that where two or more agree on earth... it will be done for them by our Father in Heaven!

 In agreement with you, Beenblessed, in prayer for your firefighter to not only pass his test, but find favor in the eyes of God and the Commanding Officers. That they look at scores and skills and experience, and not politics or emotions.

Gotta go soon. We have a fire meeting tonight. We are getting ready for the 4th of July. Our dept sets up a flag made of boards, paint and sparklers. White for the stars and some stripes, red for other stripes, blue for...and so on. Somebody left it outside all year after last 4th of July, so we may have to rebuild the boards.
Our community puts on a fireworks show with orchestra  and everything and the finale is the sparkler flag being lit off. Really neat! And we do stand by in case any fires breaks out.A couple from our church lives near the park where its held, and they have a bar-b-cue  every year, and invite all the firefighters to come and eat. Really nice.

Fluffy - here is an article I found about the NC fire. (actually I thought they had previously reported on the news it was 50K acres but this article says 40K)
