Ooh! That looks good!
 Nope, nobody got hurt! We stayed safe and got home sound! ha! Last night, we had a lot of wind, but no rain. It keeps promising, but doesnt come thru. sigh. We sure need more of it!

Fluffy - did you see where NC had a terrible fire? Last week over 50,000 acres burned and blanketed about 1/2 the state with code red & purple smoke stuff. I thought of you when I read of the fire and fire fighters.
 Thanks for all you folks do to protect us and our environment.

No, I havent heard. But then, I havent had much time to watch the news lately. I hope and pray that no one was hurt, nobody's house was damaged, and that all the entities worked in harmony together.

It is so dry here in NC and it is only June.
I don't know details of fire except it was in a wildlife refugee area and may have initially been started w/ lightening. Biggest item on news in our area of state was effect of smoke and ash on air quality in our area. I know that pine forests need to "burn" every so often and that the igniting source often is lightening, and this was in the Eastern section so I would assume it was largely pine. However, 50,000+ acres is a bit large. No one can say thank you too often to our fire fighters, police personnel, and EMS folks.

Yeah, most wildland needs to burn every so often. Just to get rid of the dead undergrowth so that new stuff can grow. If I remember my history correctly, the American Indians used to do perscribed burns once in a while. We like to do that, as well, in controlled events. Ha! From Jan 1 to May 30, we had 180 fires. Then fire season started June 1st!  Oh, I"ve probably posted that already. We have reached the 200 mark the other day. 200 fire calls since the first of the year. And we just got started.  Hey! I got high speed internet today! I am so excited! And not alot of time to be able to spend on it, though. So sad!
