Hallelujah! God answers prayers! And He answers questions, too! That is one of the many things that I love about Him! It may take awhile (or what WE think is awhile) but He WILL answer you!
That is so wonderful that you found that church! I am so glad you got the answers you were seeking!

One of my pastors is frequently kept awake at night, praying. She sometimes only gets 2-3 hours of sleep, if that. But God provides her with energy and strength to get thru the day! I used to think "what's wrong with me? Why wont He do that to me?" (Keep me awake, praying, I mean) but that is what SHE has been called to do. Not me. I'm still looking for my calling.
Sounds like yours is to write, Faithwoman! And to reach out to the young adults, too.
It has been amazing to see the transformation in you, Faithwoman! Every story just fills me with the awe of God, over and over again! Awe over His care and provision and wonderful love! And how He works thru us for His purposes!
Keep telling them to us, please!

Hey! What are you studying in school? Police officer, huh? That's great! They sure have a tough job. I dont envy them, a bit! They dont like going into fires, but then, we dont like going into situations where bullets are firing, either! ha!
Yeah, I am a volunteer firefighter.

My husband is the chief, my son is a Battallion Chief, my brother in law is an Assistant Chief. I used to be a Battallion Chief, but I just dont have the leadership skills required for it. So I stepped down. Alot easier on the nerves, let me tell you!

LOL That is funny you have your family with you! Pretty cool! Yeah I only have 2 more years until I get my bachlors in Criminal Justice, then I can apply. Its a exciting career, and it's a great job to have a great Christian foundation because crime is the opposite of a christian life so you come in contact with many different people that need Christ. I want to make a difference with the help of God. Sure call me dimples! I like it. I would so love to be a firefighter!!! What a cool job! The only problem is that I sweat like no other when it's barley hot!!! I considered that as a second career one day. I'm adventerous like that. My little sister who is in kindergarten says she wants to be a firefighter when she grows up. I think that career is great! Thanks 4 ur service!

That is so cool that your sister wants to be a firefighter! Used to be, there was a lot of prejudice against women being in the fire service. But that has pretty much changed. There are still some holdouts, but for the most part, its better!
That is a great opportunity for ministry,for you, as a police officer, right out there on the streets! What a wonderful opportunity for you! Enjoy the coffee!

Please pray to the Lord that he will strengthen me. God called me to let go of someone that I love so dearly.... and I have.. but it will be a process to be restored. Please pray that the Lord will restore me.

May I add to Faithwoman's prayer request, that we bring her to the Lord and support her faithfully for some time as she works through this major loss in her life. It will be tough for her, but the experience will make her stronger - stronger in the Lord! But our part is so IMPORTANT - to care enough to PRAY for her (and not get slack about doing this a day or two later!)

He prayed for me and asked all to pray for me.. In his prayer he asked the Lord to speak to me during the midnite hour.. along with so much more. This was Tuesday nite.
Last nite, as I was preparing to go to bed, the voice spoke at 12:15 AM and said start writing.. this happened to me 4 years ago when I started writing.. So I began writing and writing and did not quit for 3 hours.. at 3 AM I could not sleep.. I tossed and turned, I went to the chair, I read the word, I layed on the couch. At 4:30 AM I got up got a bath and was to work by 5:30 AM. I did not sleep all night. The Lord spoke to me so loud and clear! It was unbelievable! I am telling you Praise the Lord today!
I am tired, but there was answers that I had been seeking for years!
Those folks were so wonderful. Afterwards I got to speak to the Pastor and the Bishop. They encouraged me to come back. They also encouraged me to find a church in my home town for when the weather is bad as they are 40 min away from me. They said look for a church where you feel the spirit and where they teach and preach from the bible. Heck, I can stay home and come there to the church of the Forum. My online church!

I was so excited to get to work to share with my friend who had taken me to her church. .. The answers that I got were things that were heavy on my heart for some time. . .but I am going to be ok.. after reading Bondman's message on Forgiveness... I am going to be ok..

Being so ill I have to focus on God's priorities for me, and so don't get here to the Coffee House to read and post like I once could do. The Lord sparked me to this page to read this. About the best thing I can think to say is:

And I would echo what she said, GElizlade, keep posting about your cares and concerns and fellowship with us here on the forum. You'll learn so much! Its great being in the company of so many people that love God and are open to learning more about Him! That is what being a Christian is all about: learning and growing and coming alongside each other and encouraging each other.
It was illustrated to me this way: A brother or sister is growing and learning and they are reaching back and helping someone "younger" than them to come up to where they are. And THAT person reaches back for a person to bring them up to where THEY are, and it continues so that we are all learning and growing together.

My card holder scripture for today is: "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you seek for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

I believe that the people on this forum are seeking Him. With all our hearts. Hallelujah!

I know what God is doing. Why he's keeping me idle for so long. Because I have learned so many things. If I was active and just made a choice rather than wait for his choice I would be hurting and he would say, "I told you so". I love praying to Him, I learn something new about my situation everytime.
