Hey, Faithwoman! While your at your prayer meeting, could you pray for my fire dept? We are expecting 110 degree heat and 40 mph winds tomorrow.
We had 3 fire calls today, but they were either false alarms or put themselves out. So today wasnt bad, but tomorrow is expected to be wild.

Thank you, Faithwoman, for taking up the slack for me! I had a fire call and couldnt finish my prayer. You prayed beautifully and said just what I was trying to! Thank you!

And I would echo what she said, GElizlade, keep posting about your cares and concerns and fellowship with us here on the forum. You'll learn so much! Its great being in the company of so many people that love God and are open to learning more about Him! That is what being a Christian is all about: learning and growing and coming alongside each other and encouraging each other.
It was illustrated to me this way: A brother or sister is growing and learning and they are reaching back and helping someone "younger" than them to come up to where they are. And THAT person reaches back for a person to bring them up to where THEY are, and it continues so that we are all learning and growing together.


My card holder scripture for today is: "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you seek for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

I believe that the people on this forum are seeking Him. With all our hearts. Hallelujah!

I went to a prayer service on Tuesday nite. It was the most awesome thing I have ever been to. I went with a gal from work. The church was in a home in the inner city. It looked like they had ripped walls down and made a big room. She told me she sits up front "where the fire" is..
Anyway they sang a few songs with no music.. beautiful songs.. then they go into prayer time, some folks kneel on pillows and others sit in their chairs. I kneeled on a pillow. By the way during the second song.. I really felt God.. my whole body tingled all over! .. After about 20 min of individual prayer, the Pastor gave a great message from the book of Phillipians.
After that he asked if anyone wanted to say something.. well you know me.. so I stood up to face the back of the church (mind you I got there 10 min before service was up front and did not turn around until this point. ).. I turned around and it was at that moment I realized I was the only white person in the church.. I gave my brief testimony in tears.. and then sat down.. The Pastor gave a closing prayer. He prayed for me and asked all to pray for me.. In his prayer he asked the Lord to speak to me during the midnite hour.. along with so much more. This was Tuesday nite.
Last nite, as I was preparing to go to bed, the voice spoke at 12:15 AM and said start writing.. this happened to me 4 years ago when I started writing.. So I began writing and writing and did not quit for 3 hours.. at 3 AM I could not sleep.. I tossed and turned, I went to the chair, I read the word, I layed on the couch. At 4:30 AM I got up got a bath and was to work by 5:30 AM. I did not sleep all night. The Lord spoke to me so loud and clear! It was unbelievable! I am telling you Praise the Lord today!
I am tired, but there was answers that I had been seeking for years!
Those folks were so wonderful. Afterwards I got to speak to the Pastor and the Bishop. They encouraged me to come back. They also encouraged me to find a church in my home town for when the weather is bad as they are 40 min away from me. They said look for a church where you feel the spirit and where they teach and preach from the bible. Heck, I can stay home and come there to the church of the Forum. My online church!

I was so excited to get to work to share with my friend who had taken me to her church. .. The answers that I got were things that were heavy on my heart for some time. . .but I am going to be ok.. after reading Bondman's message on Forgiveness... I am going to be ok..
