I'm new to this forum and thought this thread would be a good place to start meeting people. I'm looking forward to building some
relationships getting some encouragement and hopefully provide some as well.

To briefly describe myself...

I'm enlisted in the USAF stationed in Texas. I've recently joined a local church that is awesome. Over the years I've bounced around from church to church off and on, but never really committed to one. After attending a few times I felt lead to work with youth and God introduced me to the Leader for the Jr. High group. I've never worked with youth before in a "church" setting before, so I am in unchartered territory. I don't know what I'm doing...but I'm doing it. I hope I can be a good mentor to the kids. I think working with the youth will "force" me to grow stronger in my walk. I want to be a good example for them...and I totally need God to work in me because I need the help. I want to be genuen and not fake. I think the kids can tell if you truely care about God and them.

There are a few things that I've been wondering about in terms of where God wants me to go...I've prayed and I patiently await an answer.

Welcome to the Coffee House, Pulse! What would you like to drink? We have just about anything you'd imagine!
Personally, I like soda, Diet Pepsi in particular, but I feel like I am being asked to let that one go. eep!
I'm an air force brat! And also live in Texas! I live out west, around Midland, Lubbock, San Angelo way.
This is a great forum. I really like it. There are alot of good people here that love the Lord. Many different "flavors" of faith, but all serving one Lord. So you should be able to make some good friends here. I know I have!
The Youth is a wonderful thing to get involved in. I know that is an area that is in sore need of good, stable adults to mentor and lead them into adulthood. My church has a good program going. We've had, I think 6 saved in just the last 2 months!
And the best way to learn something is to teach it! ha!

Thanks for the welcome. I don't drink much soda except for when i go out to dinner. I'm not a coffee drinker...so how about some gaterade please?

Here in Texas, My family and I have been very active in Church. The most in over 5 years. Especially me...deciding to work with the youth. I don't feel qualified...but God qualifies me. I think it's helped me grow as well. I'm reading my first "christian" book since the Left Behind series called The Purpose Drivin Life. So far it's a great book. I'm trying to find my purpose in a couple of areas. Should I pursue my Criminal Justice degree or switch things up and now take online Bible College classes and seek a degree in God. That's been on my mind lately and I'm awaiting direction from upstairs. I'm looking forward to hearing from everyone.

We're just dating.

I will become what God wants me to become. Assuming my cooporation Thanks. The thing that sucks is her mother is quite strict and we don't have much time to see eachother. Saturdays are hers, but pretty much on weekdays we just see eachother at bible study and "dropins" at the church by the school (Lunchhour)

She's so wonderful and shows me a part of me that sort of got lost. She gets along so well with her siblings. Hoolahoops with her little sister. Plays army with her little brother. She appreciates life and love.

It was so funny how nervous I was when I kissed her. She's so short and she moved so I got her nose on the way down XD. I was happy to see her on MSN later saying she was up in the clouds thinking about it.

I know it's good for me to be with someone who will keep me focusing on family and that rather than going out and partying.

Family is GOOD, Mark. And if Jessa is helping you with that, then that's tops! She sounds really nice. If you don't get much time with her, that's probably good actually, as it may help you to stay as FRIENDS more than getting into the rather dreadful ROMANTIC LOVE "mush" that completely stops you from being able to see who the other person really is, and what they are truly like.

Prior to marriage, AND to enable you to end up with a good marriage, "friends" beats "love" hands down!!! Strictly no contest! And I have very personal stories in my life (both sad and excellent) clearly proving that to be true. Stay as friends. Do 'friend' things together. Check that you enjoy each other's company and have a number of things in common. *'marriage counselling' ends, lol*

Hi again, Pulse. Lovely hearing about your life. God has long since had it worked out for you what HE wants you to do, and in earnestly seeking for it, I'm sure He'll give you 'the word'!!

Blessings!
