Absolutely.. I will do that.. I plan on it after school is out.. after I get moved.. I have been praying to the Lord to continue to guide me with my writing..

Loved it! I will have to "pinch" it as well.

Default The book that changed my life

I got a call tonite from a professor who is evaluating my writings, for 4 college credits.. I am trying to earn Credit by Evaluation.. I hope to graduate in June!

Anyway I had sent her a list of books I had and examples of my writing. She called me tonight and asked me tons of evaluation questions.

She said to me.. ok the list of books you gave me and others you have read, which book truly changed your life?

It did not take me long to respond.. my answer?

THE BIBLE.. HIS WORD!.. She told me she felt deep down in herself that I may respond that way.. I told her I grew up believing in God and all, but until that cold snowy night in December of 04.. I did not know what it all meant.. but as I was led to his word sitting on a bucket.. it was the book that has changed my life totally! I mean totally! She was intrigued to learn how I started writing.. I told her I always loved English, but again it was the voice that spoke that night laying in that bed on Medbury Heights that said get up and start writing... and I did and I still do to this day.. not as much as I would like but I know God will continue to lead me..

Allelullia for his Word.. for the Truth! I am so thankful for it..

Here was one I wrote:
Quote:
Free Rent

I'm telling you
You can all just go away
There is no room
In my condo head
For your negativity

I have chosen to only have
room for my sanity

You all have done enough damage
The amount that I allowed

It was a free ride for so long
and caused so much damage to me

I was weak then
But now I am strong

For I have shown you
You will not be allowed back in
Because I am claiming victory

Oh I wasted so much time
first loving you then hating you and all of you
and the whole time the world was waiting for me

Thank goodness the bill has been paid
and the light came on
and out you went

In came my life back
and my Sanity

Looking back at my writings now.. I relate this one to Satan being in my head so much then.

Have a great week! I got to go get "the Paper" done!

How simple is that! Soon as the thought comes, DELETE IT. Don't allow it to go further. If it's wrong, then simply REFUSE TO ENTERTAIN IT!

You resist ==> God makes the evil one flee!!!

You give in and think further on the matter, and you've given satan a foothold THAT HE HAS NO RIGHT TO HAVE. I say: God's power is there, LET'S USE IT! Then let the Halleluhahs roll right up to the portals of heaven itself!!!

Yes I want to have many Halleluhas rolling up.. thanks for a great scripture to memorize in those moments of time..

Faithwoman
I found today's devotional interesting timing in light of this post! Thought I'd share...

----------------------------------------

…Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Don’t Accept Sickness and Disease

When I was a young teenager, the doctors said I wouldn’t live. But I proved them wrong! I had two serious organic heart troubles and an incurable blood disease. I was also paralyzed. The doctors said that my white corpuscles were eating up my red corpuscles faster than I could build them up and fast than anything could be done about it medically. They said, “We’ll be honest with you. If you didn’t have the heart condition, if you didn’t have the paralysis, the incurable blood disease alone would prove fatal to you.”

But it didn’t prove fatal to me. In sixty-eight years, I have not had one single headache. I’ve proved God’s Word works. The last headache I had was in August 1933. I’m not bragging on me. I’m bragging on what I learned from the Bible.

Someone might say, “What would you do if you had a headache?” Well, first, I wouldn’t tell if I did. And second, I’d resist it.

Some years ago, I was leaving the parking lot at RHEMA, and, all of a sudden, a pain hit me in my head. My head started hurting. I spoke up and said, “Oh no, you don’t, devil! You don’t put any headache on me! I don’t have one! I’m not going to have it!” By the time I was heading down the road, it was all gone. You see, we make the mistake of ever accepting these things.

Confession: I resist the devil and he flees from me. I resist sickness and disease. I refuse to accept anything that the devil brings my way!

During prayer today the Lord reminded me how in a post on the previous page here, regarding temptations and managing to resist or not, I said how earlier I used to fail, and added:

"However today I have victory nearly all the time." The next thought was that I hope no one thought this was any sort of spiritual boast. God forbid! But it led me to write a simple Message about sin in The Inner Room!

Interesting sig, Lyssa!

Yep coldish here at the mo. Don't like the sound of your weather! Not much rain in recent time - we'll be sweating on it starting again towards the end of the year (still on heavy restrictions even tho the reserviors do have more water in them now).

Only been to Adelaide once on my life - must have been some time in the 80's I'd reckon. Really nice city as I recall.

Good morning, everyone! Wow, it must be heading toward winter downunder, huh? We are warming up on this side of the globe. Its at that stage where its cold in the morning, hot in the afternoon, cold at night!
We have a saying around West Texas: if you dont like the weather, wait 15 minutes and it will change! ha!

Hey, Faithwoman! I really liked that poem you posted! How true it is! (get outta my head!) That's where most of the battles happen anyway, in our minds.
I cant wait to read your testimony, either!

Hey. Lissa! How goes it? Good to see you!

Hey, Beenblessed! I thought that devotional looked familiar! (the style of writing) I really like those.
I'll probably be on and off, babysitting the 2 year old grandson this week! yay!
