Yeah. Today it's a combo of the both--we have a threatening looking sky and it's maybe 70 degrees or higher and HUMID. I wish the weather knew what it was doing.

Faithwoman,
I love you and yes!!!!
Every day IS a new day!
A new start......
I praise God for your test results!!!!

Amen! Every day is a new day , let us rejoice and be glad in it. Let us not dwell in the past, those moments , days and years are gone, let us not be anxious about the future for it is not here.. but today is here, let us rejoice and celebrate, let us do God's will today. Let us walk forth as Christ walked. Let us be a shining light to others. May we spread his love to all that we encounter, moment and by moment, whether it be a family member, a person at the store, a person walking down the street, may we talk to God continously throught the day, may we give praises to him at all times.

Hugs to you all

Anyways,

I made a pot off coffee just now but I didn't know how much coffee to put in. I basically got a full pot of expresso.

Half milk half coffee.

Going for a looong bike ride soon. It's beautiful outside.

Mark, oops! My bad! I misunderstood what you were trying to say! Yep. Coffee makes me need to find a bathroom, soon! And so does any diet soft drink, especially Diet Pepsi. Which is my favorite. I like the taste.

Hey, Bondman! I forget you guys are behind! Or is that ahead? I'm confused!
Spring has sprung, here. We hope to get some more rain, soon. The rain we got dried up with the big winds the next day. Hey! We got a few days rest, though! No fires until today! And I am keeping my 16 month old grandson for a few weeks, so my firefighting is curtailed quite a bit! ha! He loves the outdoors, and I am getting alot of yard work done. (much to the chagrin of my husband who now has to load up all the junk I've piled up and haul it off! ha!)

Don't think anyone's ahead or behind - just 6 months apart! To me the world our great God created is a truly wondrous place.

So you do get Spring rains, eh? For everyone's sake I earnestly hope you get some soon, so you can have a break from all those fires!

Have fun with grandson!!

Default Going Home

I got this in my email today:

Going Home
Author Unknown
Apr 7, 2008

Going Home

Years ago, I was enthralled as I listened to a pastor who for several years had faithfully served the church. His executive responsibilities had taken him all over this country. As he concluded his message, he told of one of the most frightening yet thought-provoking experiences of his life.

He had been on a long flight. The first warning of the approaching problems came when the sign on the airplane flashed on: "Fasten your seat belts." Then, after a while, a calm voice said, "We shall not be serving the beverages at this time as we are expecting a little turbulence. Please be sure your seat belt is fastened."

As he looked around the aircraft, it became obvious that many of the passengers were becoming apprehensive. Later, the voice of the announcer said, "We are so sorry that we are unable to serve the meal at this time. The turbulence is still ahead of us."

And then the storm broke. The ominous cracks of thunder could be heard even above the roar of the engines. Lightening lit up the darkening skies, and within moments that great plane was like a cork tossed around on a celestial ocean. One moment the airplane was lifted on terrific currents of air; the next, it dropped as if it were about to crash.

The pastor confessed that he shared the discomfort and fear of those around him. He said, "As I looked around the plane, I could see that nearly all the passengers were upset and alarmed. Some were praying. The future seemed ominous and many were wondering if they would make it through the storm.

And then, I suddenly saw a girl to whom the storm meant nothing. She had tucked her feet beneath her as she sat on her seat and was reading a book. Everything within her small world was calm and orderly. Sometimes she closed her eyes, then she would read again; then she would straighten her legs, but worry and fear were not in her world. When the plane was being buffeted by the terrible storm, when it lurched this way and that, as it rose and fell with frightening severity, when all the adults were scared half to death, that marvelous child was completely composed and unafraid."

The minister could hardly b elieve his eyes. It was not surprising therefore, that when the plane finally reached its destination and all the passengers were hurrying to disembark, he lingered to speak to the girl whom he had watched for such a long time.

Having commented about the storm and behavior of the plane, he asked why she had not been afraid. The sweet child replied, "Sir, my Dad is the pilot, and he is taking me home."

Jesus said, "Fear not." Those who have given their hand to Jesus must trust that the Father is taking them Home.

Wow.. I really liked this story.. how many times do I feel my life has been in the storm.. but what I have come to learn, that I am learning through those storms.. the biggest thing I have learned is that Jesus is using those storms to bring me closer to him.. he is preparing me for the day I do go home. Have a great day!
