I was driving down past a playground today and there were 5 teens sitting around on the swings and bikes. As I drove by I heard a voice say stop.. I kept driving and the voice says turn around. So I did. I got out of my car and walked over to them and said Hi! my name is Robin. I was wondering if you could help me out with a project. They said what is that?
I said my church is having is having a Youth Sunday in 2 weeks and my project is to invite teens to come and enjoy and celebrate God's love.

I proceeded to ask them if they had a church they went to. One girl said she had not gone to church since she was 6 years old but just started back 2 weeks ago and the other one said she had a church. The other girl and the 2 boys did not. I asked them if they have heard of D2D and the one gal said yes , the other one said no and I proceeded to tell them about it.

I stated I also wanted to share some other stuff if they had a minute. I proceeded to tell them how awesome Jesus is and what he does for us. I shared a little bit about my life now at the age of 46 and how I have now found Jesus and what he has done for me. I shared with the group about life's paths and the poor choices we make , but however Jesus wipes our slates clean. I asked them about their hopes and dreams for life, I went around the circle and asked them if they would mine sharing their name, age and what their dream for life was. They started to open up and it was amazing. The one young man shared that he had lost his virginity at the age of 13. The one gal said did I know that if a girl had sex, then did not have sex for 7 years , she could be a virgin again. I said well that is interesting, but did you know that with Jesus, the minute we accept him into our hearts, and follow his path, that when we say no to sin, that we have a fresh virginity path right then. She just looked at me in awe. I told them that God wanted to see all their hopes and dreams come true. That God wants them to have an awesome victorious life and that with him in our life, we can have all that. But if we continue to choose to make wrong choices like I did in life, that we do not find our hopes and dreams, and our lives always seem lost. It was a great little chat. They were all between the ages of 16 and 17.
The one gal said man you are cool! I said no, God is awesome and cool! He wants me to share his love with others.

I left them with the day and times of the service

What an awesome recess time it was!

Robin, how awesome it is to obey God's voice. If you had gone on and not turned around, you would have lost that opportunity. There was someone there who needed to turn around and go the other way.

I think kids are beginning to appreciate adults who take the time and have the courage to talk to them and help them face their problems. They need adults like you to be honest with them and not be afraid of what's politically correct. They appreciate it. Thanx for obeying. It's a great feeling, isn't it?!

Robin! Wow! I"m sitting here, trying to find words to say....that was just awesome!

Your obedience to God's voice, and your open heart to these dear children, the way He gave you to share God's love and life.....wow! What a wonderful opportunity God gave you to be such a blessing to those children!

Our youth are such a treasure. So many are lost and decieved by the world. How refreshing it is to see young people willing to talk about God and Jesus and His amazing power to forgive and restore.
You had another divine appointment, my dear! Aint it great??? Dont we serve an AWESOME and MIGHTY God?

The Lord is doing a mighty work in you, dear Robin! Thank you, for sharing this. It has been inspiring and uplifting!
How is the move going? Did you get the stain out of your carpet?
