Goodness! Thanks so much for what you do, Fluffy.

May I have some hot chocolate with whipped cream, please?

Like some cookies with that? Hot chocolate and whipped cream sounds good!

Thank you, for the thank you! It turns out, it was a "never mind". A county to the east of us was having a big fire, and the wind had shifted and they thought they were going to need help. But the wind shifted again, and they were able to get a handle on it, without calling for us. We were just on stand by, just in case. We'd been there before, last month, I think it was. Worked a major fire there. They had FIVE going at the same time! ack! It was wild!

We got called out again, for a fire we had yesterday. A hot spot flared up. People are gun shy now, after all the major fires we've had, so when they see some smoke curling up (even though it is deep in the burned area and cant hurt anything) they panic. But that's ok, we'll still go out and put some water on it.
Today, there's supposed to be very little wind, relatively high humidity, so maybe we can get a day off and I can get my house cleaned! lol!

Default Getting the Stains Out- Need help

Ok.. so we know Jesus takes the stains out of our life.. which is awesome awesome awesome..

Now tonight I spilled a glass of red wine on my carpet.. it was a glass that I had left there from last nite.. and I have been swamped today with getting things done at my old office. so I was going to take a half hour nap.. in the process I went to plug my cell phone in and wala.. I knocked over this glass of wine..

soooooooooo any tips on how to get the wine stain out? I know the tip for getting sin out of my life and that is Jesus... but I need a little help with the carpet issue and my jeans that got drenched in the accident too!

Thanks!
Robin

Here is a link for a website. When they are talking about using a soap that’s suitable for the fabric, you could try liquid laundry detergent. I know a professional carpet cleaner who uses laundry detergent to clean carpets. He says the fibers are the same as in clothing.

Hey, Faithwoman! I have no idea about carptet stains! I ripped all the carpet OUT of my house! Cant stand them! Who's advice seems like the best to me.

Well, today was the day we were to have the Refinery Thank You Luncheon to thank all the people that responded to the refinery fire. But guess what? We had a fire at the refinery this morning! eep! It was a tank of asphalt that blew up. Not sure what started it. But asphalt is relatively easy to put out. Just takes awhile to set up. Then, as we were wrapping it all up, we found out that the luncheon was waiting on US! So we booked it to where they were having it, and as we walked in, we got a standing ovation. Embarassing. We also got a coin representing the 19th district of Texas. Apparently, the State Representative gives them out on special occasions. It was a nice coin. AND the refinery is giving the fire dept $10,000 donation! Now, THAT was nice! We need some new equipment.
We have high fire danger again, today, so if I'm not online, that's probably why.
