Charles Fuller was on the radio for years. "The Old Fashioned Revival Hour." His pianist was Rudy Atwood who was fantastic in his evangelistic style of playing. C.Fuller founded the Fuller Seminary in CA but was not associated at all with the Crystal Catheral. Fuller was very sound Biblically. Also, his ministry was very helpful to service men and women during WWII. I learned about him after I was grown and only heard him a little. His son continued the seminary but, as with many institutions, it became more liberal than its founder intended. I don't know where things stand with them now.

JesusLilDoe! Love that name!
Thank you, Bondman, for your concern. Yep. I am plumb wore out. Thursday morning, we had a cotton bale fire. There were 100 bales of cotton on a trailer that caught on fire. We saved 16 bales, that was it. But it was an all night job. We had to knock the bales off the trailer, break them apart, wet them down, break them up again, wet them down, over and over. Then a bulldozer came and loaded it all up on dump trucks and hauled them to a wrecking yard where they were buried. We were at it until 5pm the next day. While we were going home, we got called out for a grass fire that took all night. The estimate is only 400 acres, and we lost one livable house, and about 5 outbuildings and one abandoned house. I've got blisters on my feet from wearing wet boots and socks for so long, an amazing suntan on my face and arms, and a pride in a good job well done. Our firefighters did an excellent job and we are very proud of them. We had 3 forest service strike teams, 8 different fire depts from different areas, several bulldozers, blades, water supply trucks, helicopters, air planes with fire retardent drops. My pumper truck was on the news for the cotton bale fire, and the whole dept was on the news for the grass fire. We are getting quite famous in these here parts! Yeah, I'm a little bit tired. We got some sleep last night. But my husbands leg had swelled up to twice its size (it was burned when he was a child, then broke it a few years ago) so he took a water pill and every two hours woke up with cramps in his legs. Now, we are back out here at the grass fire, making sure everything is completely out. We had a crew stay out overnight to keep working the hotspots because we were expecting a cold front to come in with 30 mph winds. The support we've had out here has just been amazing. We just had a lady drive by and give us a whole bunch of breakfast burritos and sodas as a thank you. I thank every one here for the prayers and support that you give to me, and to your local emergency responders. Whether they are fire, ems, police or whatever. Ya'lls support makes all the difference in the world to us!

Fluffy - I am just beginning to grasp your life as a firefighter. When I first read some of it, I thought, hmmmmmm that's a bit much. I can't see "Fluffy" our lady of the internet coffee house, as a firefighter dressed in a fireman's suit and all the stuff that goes along with it and the danger that goes with it. But I am beginning to comprehend. Forgive my denseness. Thank you for your service to your community and to those around you. What would we as a country do without the dedication of people such as you, Fuffy?
Father, I thank you for Your protection of Fluffy and the other members of the team. Thank You the fire was contained. I pray for Your continued support and protection to her and to all of them. Thank You that You have given Fluffy a heart for service.
