Hey, Granny! Yes, I have read all of Dee Hendrickson's books! They were great! What an interesting concept, too. A whole foster family adopting themselves! I'm an avid reader

and wish there were more books like hers. Our library has a sticker system. Mysterys have a sticker on the spine of a magnifying glass, science fiction a ufo, christian novels have a cross sticker. This makes it easier to find 'clean' books to read. But most of them are romances, usually set in the pioneer days. Just not quite my taste in books.

Right now, I am reading the Lion of Judah series by Gilbert Morris. I"ve only read the first one, so far, and it was good! He tries to keep it as biblically and historically accurate as he can and bring the bible characters to life.

Guys, how come I've never noticed the Coffee house

Found it now, dont get an awful lot of time to be online, but try to spend most of it here, so hopefully now I've found this I can drop in and relax occassionally!

Fluffy - Gilbert Morris writes a terrific book. He had scads of series. Try the Winslow series. Our little Tiny Town USA library uses stickers, too. When I was in Chapel Hill, NC (university town) it was really hard to find good reading. One day I stumbled across the computer card cat. subject system and began to pick away. Finally I hit on "Christian Fiction" and amazingly they had about 30. Huge library and about 30 of these. Obviously, all were not truly Christian fiction. Anyway, they also had a suggestion section in the computer system, so I suggested more Christian fiction. We we moved from there several years later, they had catalogued around 300.

I would suggest you also pull up what is available in the category of Christian fiction on your library system. I do it from home and place them on hold. They will also pull them from other libraries in the regional system without charge for me and email me when they are in the library.

Look up Terri Blackenstock, too.

Hey, Granny! I dont have too much time to go to the library. A family member and I were killing time the other day and I suggested we go to the library. Browsing thru the novels, I came across Gilbert Morris and snagged a couple. Its been so long, my card had expired! eep! These days, with all the fires we've been having, its a wonder I'm able to get on the computer! ack!
Today, we have had 2 calls. One was a grass fire in the median of the highway, the other was a false alarm. Yesterday, we had a couple going at the same time! eep! But I try to get on here when I can.

So, what good things has the Lord done for you, lately?
Mine has been He has protected me thru some pretty wooly fires! Thank You, Lord!

What good things has the Lord done?

My mother is 92 and still living and I have her close to me in an assisted living facility. We took her to church this a.m. Our drive to church in order to do this is over 90 mi round trip.

I can still work, though part time.

My husband, 10 years older than me, just had his birthday and is still alive. We've been married 50 years.

He has helped me stretch our limited income with uncanny deals for food and stuff.

When I see trouble all around me and the world so beset with evil, I am thankful for and recognize His protective hand.

Rain,

rain, rain!! Its been raining off and on all night, last night, and all day today! Hallelujah! Rain rain rain! Now, maybe we can get a break! ha!

I have heard that there is the possibility of flooding in the Mid-West, I pray that it doesnt. Maybe the rain will stop up there,

and continue down here!
