Things I've learned recently:
God is all powerful.
He is mightier than anything created.
He is infinitely kind and caring and generous.
God is our Father of all Fathers!

Another thing:
Just because a person has a fault, lets say they are rude to a grocery store clerk. That is NOT the sum total of that person. This is only a facet of that person and the whole picture. To think of them only in that light is to do them an injustice.
And you can turn that around, too. Just because in your old life (before Jesus) you did some things that were bad, does not mean that your whole being is that thing. You have been washed of that bad thing, made new, it did not characterize who youare.

Ok, so its blowing snow, that is melting before it even hits the ground, but its moisture!!!!!!!!!! Yayayayayyayayay!!!!!

Last night, our community held a Community Wide Thanksgiving Service to honor God for the miracle of the refinery fire.
There was a dinner to honor the refinery workers, first responders, and their families, then there was a service open to the entire community. It was PACKED!
There was a community choir, and all the usual dignitaries. There were several different denominations represented there and we all worshipped God as one body!
There was a refinery worker that stood up and told his story, giving glory to God.
There was my hubby (chief of the volunteer fire fighters) stood up and told his story, giving glory to God.
The mayor stood up and gave glory to God.

There was a place on the program that said "Honored Guest", but had no name beside it. When it came time for that, the guy that organized this event said that the Honored Guest was Jesus. He was our closest friend, advisor, counselor, comforter, protector. Thru our coming together in agreement and in praise and worship, He was there among us. So true!!!

Then, 8 of our firefighters were awarded the Medal of Valor for thier courage and bravery in the face of extreme danger. My hubby got the only standing ovation for a single human in the place. And, of course, God got many standing ovations!!!!!
It was great! It was so wonderful to see so many people coming together to thank God for His hand upon our community and His mercy and grace for saving us from disaster!

Reading this made my heart sing for joy, dear one! That the Lord could be so honoured in a Community like that is plumb awesome! He is SO wonderful, SO precious!!

And way to go for Hubby - WOW!!

Tough job you guys and gals have - and don't you do it so WELL!!

The smell of rain is my most favorite smell! We are expecting snow showers today.

It is cloudy, but nothing coming down, yet. Here's to hoping and praying!
