I think it is just the lack of sleep finally catching up with me. BM you know how bad my sleep can get - lately it has been well after 3 am before I can settle enough to sleep and then I'm waking up at odd times. My body is just under a lot of stress from various things but it is starting to get better.

Lack of sleep is never good for anyone. And stress affects sleep! For many years I read a little (just a novel or something that didn't require too much thinking power!) before settling to sleep. Worked well. Later on I learnt how to relax my whole body - and mind - prior to sleep. If you can't turn your mind off then sleep doesn't come. By 'turn off' I mean stop thinking of "important" things and/or working things out. What I do is let my mind sort of 'wander', letting it go wherever it wishes, but NOT to something important/serious. Soon as that happens, I STOP it - and relax it again to let it just drift along.

Of course, when you have physical problems, pain, or whatever, that does make it harder to relax properly. I pray that you can get your sleeping relatively sorted so as to continue the wonderful upward direction in your life!

Does anyone know where Fluffy is? Missing her!

I did okay last night =) exhaustion caught up with me and I just feel asleep

so I am hoping that will help me get back on track before I start back to classes in a week and a half (so soon already?!)

I haven't heard from Fluffy since the day before yesterday but they had planned on seeing their daughter I believe.

Hmm... not too sure exhaustion is the solution to sleeplessness, but glad you're heading in the right direction.

FLUFFY, WHERE ARE YOU... ARE YOU... ARE YOU? *echoes a bit in here doesn't it*

Seems to me it's simply not the same without her bubbly presence...

No, here I am!

We went to see my oldest daughter. First chance I've had to get on the computer.
Got some bad news.

The big fire we had the other day, where we saved 8 houses was caused by arson. The arsonist was one of our own firefighters, and a few others. Its really sad, because we are respected as a group that protects others and their property and here, one of our own does this. He is suspected in several more fires, too. About 25 yrs ago, we had another one of our own burning abandoned houses. wow. Has it really been 25 yrs? Doesnt seem like it!
Anyway, on to better things!
Great news, Amanda, about being able to talk to your sweetie! I just cant imagine how it must be for you, but we're here for ya!
When I cant go to sleep, I try to think of bible stories and imagine them like movies. Like the Nativity story. Or Jonah and the fish. Sometimes I get hung up on a detail and have to go research it to be accurate, but its a great way to really learn the bible stories! ha!
Had a real good new year, I painted awful pictures with my youngest daughter.

( I say awful because I am woefully out of practice!) Cuddled with the 1 yr old grandson. Then spent the day traveling with hubby

and visiting with the oldest daughter and 2 yr old grandson. Then we spent the night in Dallas in a very nice hotel. While hubby went to a meeting today, I did some bible study.

Now, we are waiting at a truck parts store, for a part that is being shipped in. Its cheaper to wait here for it than have it shipped the rest of the way. One of our fire trucks broke the radiator trying to get to some houses before they burned up at the big fire. We've got to get it up and running again. While we've been gone, there have been 5 fires. One of which was a very large grass fire running between houses again. They got it put out pretty quick, but it was bad enough hubby almost turned back home!
Its supposed to rain in the next couple of days. Maybe it'll give us some relief!
