We've been averaging about 2 fires a day.

Thank the good Lord they have been relatively small fires, and the wind hasnt been up when they were burning!

Yah...... Hi Fluffy.... Been away since the 22nd to Windsor accross from Detroit. All my relatives live there so went to spend Christmas and had a blessed time of fellowship, fun and of course eats.... Hmmm ..... I see a diet routine in 2008. I guess I should have put that on my goal list plus more walking in my routine...... I have to push myself to do that.

I do love birds and all kinds but I guess the Hummingbird would be my fav. as they are so tiny and delicate and look like little hellicopters.

[size="3"]Aw, Dusty! Those are beautiful! We have hummingbirds around here, but havent had the time to keep up a feeder. Maybe now that I am not working I can start in the spring!

Well, we had our 2 fires today. Both grass fires. The second one was a doozy! It was in a residential area and we saved 8 houses!

We lost an outbuilding, but it was an abandoned well house, so it wasnt too bad. I had hoped the county would have banned fireworks since it was so dry,

but now, its too late. New Years Eve is tomorrow, and that is one of the favorite times to pop them. The fire spread thru 2 streets and almost got to a third. Quick action on everyone's part kept it from getting real bad.
I've been telling everyone "It aint fate, karma, fortune, or luck, it was all GOD that kept the wind down and kept it from getting any worse!"

I didnt get any arguments! ha!
Boy! I havent run that much in years! ( pant pant!)

Hey Fluffy..... Maybe we should start an on line weight loss support on your thread. Just a thought. I would be the first to sign up .... LOL... All that stuff I ate over Christmas. I need a good walking partner cause I don't like walking by myself.

I know what you mean about walking by yourself. I dont have anyone around here to join me, either. But then, we cant go too far because I need to be able to respond quickly to a fire call.
I do have a DVD of Dancing Off the Inches! I might try actually doing it, instead of just watching!

I want to lose about 40 lbs.
Ok, that might be dreaming, but hey!

Got to have a dream, huh?
I will be starting a fast next week. Our church is doing a 21 day fast to prepare for the new year. No, not water fast. (my body cant handle that!)

But maybe a juice/fruit/veg. fast. Or as the Lord leads.
So, I might be able to drop a few pounds then, but it'll get right back on once I start eating regular again.

So it wont be really like cheating! ha!
I"ve got to get to bed soon.

Getting late.
Let me know if you have any more ideas!
