The Great Commission is NOT the great suggestion!
Taking it a step farther:
Luke 10:17
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
I have a dear Jewish believer/ sister in Christ who lives in another state who is such an evangelist (she has been with Jews for Jesus). She has just sent me an email newsletter (knowing that I am a prayer minister) to ask us to pray for all the contacts that she makes among the Jews and Gentiles in her area...let me emphasize; these are contacts with unsaved people; Jew and Gentile whom she personally comes in contact with and shares the gospel with.
This has convicted me to pray even more. I understand that the Lord gifts us for the ministry to which He has called us but I am convicted that He has called us all to share the gospel of Christ Jesus.
Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Ephesians 6:13-15 (KJV)
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 bove all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
My Pastor spoke on this yesterday in the message from the Lord; I am convicted. The armor of God includes; and not even last on the list; the FEET shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; to walk in God's ways. truth and peace and to take it to others in Jesus' Name.
I am being tested and prayerfully, I will be tried (not to be found guilty) in the furnace of affliction and brought forth as pure gold
and found righteous in His sight and for His glory.
Please let us pray that we ALL are are CHANGED by HIS GRACE and POWER and that we KNOW THAT WE KNOW that it is not "by might nor by power but by the SPIRIT OF THE LORD" that we "do any good" at all.

- Are we doing what is our duty to do?
- Have we kept His commandments? (there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus; what you are feeling is CONVICTION of the Holy Spirit to strive for holiness and righteousness in Him.)
- Are we reaching seeking the lost with the life changing power of the gospel of Jesus Christ to save?

Pleased that you brought Oud Dad's message to us.Dear, I've just been re-reminded of my true mission in the university that I currently are studying to be a scientist: " to teach all about the need for us all to be perfect in him".
