When I think about the Lord...

Posted 07-22-2008 at 04:11 AM by worshipper
When I Think About The Lord

When I think about the Lord How He saved me
How He raised me
How He filled me up with the Holy Ghost
How He healed me to the uttermost
When I think about the Lord
How He picked me up and turned me around
And set my feet on solid ground

It makes me wanna shout hallelujah
Thank you Jesus
Lord You’re worthy of all the glory
All the honor
All the praise

I love this song...It is a sweet meditation on the goodness of the Lord in song. Meditating on the goodness of the Lord; it is the goodness of the Lord that leads us to repentance and gratefulness and thankfulness is nutured when we meditate on His goodness.

What is good? Jesus said "no one but God" is good and then he said "when You have seen me you have seen the Father". A little confusing to some; but what He was saying is "goodness is in the eye of the discerner" in a way. He wants us to look and see for ourselves; Taste and see that the Lord is good...That is what meditating on the Lord and meditating on His word means to me today. To think about Who He is and what He has done in my life; to thank Him for saving me; raising me, filling me with the Holy Ghost (and power) and healing me.

Just some ramblings but some "food for thought". Meditate on His word today.
Psalm 1:2
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Psalm 63:6
When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Psalm 77:12
I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.

Psalm 119:15
I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

Psalm 119:48
My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

Psalm 119:78
Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.

Psalm 119:148
Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

Psalm 143:5
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

1 Timothy 4:15
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
