No More Fear!

Iread in history and in the Bible the persecution that many Christians have faced; the stoning, beheading,
crucifying, being fed to lions, and so much more. I look at, or read, about these brave men and women and I ask myself would it have been me? I ask myself would I have endured the suffering, pain, and humiliation? Would I have said yes to God come what may? Would I have boldly proclaimed Christ even in the face of death? I would like to think I would have, stood before death unafraid and unashamed and boldly proclaimed Jesus Christ the Lord of all. But do I do that now, today? In land where I can say whatever I want without fear of punishment. If I did not, how could I in a world of fear and death to Believers? But I can say yes I proclaim Christ. I admit not as much as I should and sometimes fear gets the best of me, but sitting here I ask fear of what? Fear of being laughed at, ridiculed, rejected? Christ endured so much more for my sake! I shake off that fear and instead clothe myself in the boldness of the Holy Spirit! Praying and believing that He will give the what I need when I am told to open my mouth and declare the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Also if the time ever comes that I face the choice of renoucing my faith or proclaiming Christ, I know the Holy Spirit will give me the strength to stand tall and say the words: "Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords." For it is written "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it" (Matt. 16:25).

That is a great reminded of the price paid and the value of a witness to this lost world. Still today more people are being martyred for Christ than at any time in history.
