RETARDED:
exceptional, held back, underachieving, weak, impaired, imperfect, lacking, unfinished, unhealthy, wanting, in waiting.

Now, listen to me!
There is not one of us that does not fall under at least one of these categories!
I promise you that!

BUT, do not refer to yourself as retarded because you are not, in the term that most people think of.

One story for you~
I had an Uncle who was 5' 4" and pale skinned.
He had no special education but had much common sense!
He truly loved and served God and was loved back.
Was it his height?
His color?
His weight?
His looks?
No, it was not.
It was his sincerity.
His Godly Heart.
His kindness toward everyone.
THAT is what truly matters!
He was loved by all.
Now, this is the God's honest truth!
After he died, we were talking about his height.
I was speachless!
You know why?
I never realized he was shorter than me.
To me he was the biggest man there could be.

He was handsome to me.
He was so loving and good hearted and I will never forget him as he had a great influence in my life.
He was not even my blood Uncle but my Uncle through marriage.

God made you and God does NOT make mistakes.
Now it is up to you to not only put your full trust in the LORD, but to believe in yourself through God's power and strength!

You will become what you set your mind to become!
Remember this.
Look at yourself and thank God for his masterpiece in you as a unique and very special person.
Be proud of who God created in you and stand proud and tall and that is how others will see you.

FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGTHS BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE THEM IN SOME FORM!

Love, Violet

You GO GIRL

NoDoubt, whose voice are you listening too!

Your loving Father does not speak that way to His Children...

Growing in His Faith, means to disearn who is speaking to you... Your ego, the Holy Spirit or your enemy...

No Doubt I am really sorry about the Ticket. I am very glad that you were able to quickly calm down and give your anger and frustration over to God. That is a huge step and I think it is terrific. I sure hope that things work out with the ticket and insurance and everything for you. I will pray and we know that God has promised to work all these things out for our good somehow. I don't mean to sound trite about a promise of God I really do believe in, but I do have to remind myself of that so often and although I really believe it I sometimes question how it can be. Usually much later I do see how it was good but it involves that thing we are struggling with TRUST right?

Hang in there. God loves you.

I spoke some blessings over the cop I had been cursing for the few minutes prior, and sang "I have decided to follow Jesus" to myself until I calmed down.

So, now I've got to fight this ticket. Otherwise my insurance will stray beyond affordable, I'll likely lose my drivers license for a while, and basically be in a world of hurt because of a California driving habit (not slamming on my brakes for yellow lights). But at least I can see I'm improving

Thank you. Because of diabetes and a childhood disease in my hip that left one leg a little shorter than the other, I was declared 50% handicapped by the German government. That left a bad taste in my mouth. After all I've been through and all that I've accomplished I felt less worth than before I heard the news. My wife is a person who loves to encourage people and she has a gift for it. What you have written here is icing on her cake of encouragement. Bless you.

I know you said that this therapist is one that you found and like (partly because she is young and cute), but you mentioned that she is also a student which makes her inexperienced as well. I would honestly seek a second opinion and possibly a new therapist. First you were diagnosed with Asperger's and now with Schizotypal Personality Disorder. Have you ever thought that you may not have either one? You could have nothing at all or something entirely different.

Bookworm I appreciate your concern but I don't think we can properly advise someone about these sorts of things responsibly over the internet. If this therapy situation is working for NoDoubt and he is growing spiritually then rather than sowing seeds of doubt lets just rejoice and keep praying for him. Just a thought. Gratefulgrace
