Days passed....
And I can't wait to tell you all what have transpired.... Michael has been listening to this CHRISTIAN RADIO STATION !!!! I even asked him, "Michael, isn't it that you were not interested in listening to those types of stuff before"... "Yeah, but I guess I could learn from them..." Michael quipped. Simon and the other nephews of our caretaker on the other hand, began sharing to me the things that they read in my christian book! Simon quipped, "I realized that we have to let go of the past, and stop blaming our parents, other people, and the past, even stop blaming God." I also began singing "BREAK THEM DOWN, THE STRONGHOLDS OF THIS HOUSE". I began chanting this powerful song, praying and thanking God that He will touch the hearts of our once-dark boarding house.... BUT THE MOST POWERFUL CHANGE...???? (drum roll please..) I couldn't believe it. Our caretaker broke down in tears awhile ago, while I and she was having a friendly conversation. She was telling stuffs about cleaning and all, but I NEVER WANTED it to be just a trite conversation, and kept asking sideway questions about her PARENTS, about her CHILDHOOD. Despite her ACTIVE EFFORTS to move the conversation into a different topic, she finally succumbed, and TOLD HER STORY...about how she was estranged from her parents because she got mad at her father for not enabling her to study. She also told of how she decided to came home to their province, only to find out her father already DIED... I asked her, "have you forgiven him.." She said, with tears, "yes. I was at fault too". These past few days, she was smiling, albeit a few times. She even dressed up this YELLOW DRESS, contrary to the dark black dresses she always wears. And I complimented her. Also, MY PARENTS (BOTH 65 YEARS OLD) visited me. And my mom talked to our caretaker, sharing things like don't be angry, lest your health suffer. I THANK GOD, BECAUSE LIGHT IS SHINING IN OUR BOARDING HOUSE. Strongholds are being broken down and torn apart in our boarding house... GOD IS POWERFUL! |

P.S. I also want to add that I assertively told Michael, "YOU AND I ARE PARTNERS.. YOU AND I ARE A TEAM.. OUR MISSION IS TO BRING LIGHT TO THIS HOUSE... HELP ME BRING LIGHT"...
Secondly, I started leaving MY OWN BIBLE on the table in the living room.. so that anybody, especially our caretaker, will hopefully pick it up and READ IT!!!!! |

Oh wow! Praise the Lord! I will be praying for you, Michael, and your caretaker in hope that this continues and these two folks can find the real joy and freedom only our Lord can give. You are doing a terrific job and God will bless you many times over.
God bless, Star

I guess by now you know what I am going to post!!!!!!
Yup! The relationship between I and my caretaker is getting stronger and closer!!!! We are now chatting everyday, these past 2 days we have chatted for an hour. I realized that she is indeed a very lonely woman, because she alienated her relatives...and now, her need for companionship is fulfilled through me...! Just a second ago, I was dressing up in front of the living room mirror, and she said, "Come on, you're already handsome, no need to fix" in her usual shouting mode! IT IS AMAZING, SHE ASKED ME MINUTES AGO ---what is your religion?? And of course that was my cue. I tried to invite her to my church... but she said, "i don't like to go there.." Anyway, I said, "But i will give you a treat, Nana.." "No.", she said. So I said, "But you used to go to this catholic church right? Let me accompany you there this SUNDAY." "If Michael gets to stay on Sunday..." she retorted. "Then I will request Michael to stay on Sunday." (which I was surprised to say, coz I invited Michael to go to church on Sunday and he said yes, IF HE IS NOT GOING TO HIS FRIEND'S HOUSE). Nana, our caretaker, even said, "you know what, the owner of this house, Madame Helen, always got jealous of me whenever the boarder gets close to me..." What does she mean by that, talking with me? tHAT MEANS, she now treats me as a close FRIEND!!!?? Then she said, "you sing very well." "Thank you, nana. What's your favorite song, anyway?" And she said, "Bridge over troubled water." So I kinda sing that sometimes. (I don't think that's her real favorite song though.., coz she's not reacting that much). Then to close our long chat, I said, "Nana, your nephew Michael is very proud of you." "WHAT!!!" "Yes, in fact, when I first came to this house, he said that you.." "That i am always angry?" "That you are a very neat person and very industrious"... Then, when Nana was gone, I told Michael "I already built you up in her eyes. Pls, do team up with me. Talk to her. Be sweet to her!" After 2 days of talking with my friend Michael, he finally said, "ok ok I'll think about it." Lord, thank you very much because this is the start of their good relationship! With the defenses of Michael and the head of the house (Nana) broken, Simon and Mary (her neice) came with me in a prayer meeting in church. Also, thank God that He enables me to ACT EVEN MORE ASSERTIVELY concerning my, lo and behold, busy roommate, Dexter, a doctor specializing in ophthalmology. I decided to post Bible verses concerning seeking God first and blessings will come into your life near his books, and near Nana's table. As expected, Nana folded the papers away, and Dexter moved the other verse away from his books. BUT I THINK THEY MUST HAVE READ THEM ANYHOW, coz blessings are attractive. I used these verses so they will be attracted, not yet those verses that say being sinful leads to condemnation. Not yet, anyway. So thank you very much for all your prayers and support, Star, Whirlwind, Boanerges, especially Bookworm and the others. In all of this saga, GOD DESERVES THE CREDIT. IT IS HE WHO HAS ALWAYS MOVED IN THIS HOUSE. here are my next plans: to concentrate on my roommate dexter, and still Nana. I think Michael and Simon would be easier to reach out now, praises to Jesus! Mary left the house, though ....God bless! |
