3-4When the Lamb ripped off the second seal, I heard the second Animal cry, "Come out!" Another horse appeared, this one red. Its rider was off to take peace from the earth, setting people at each other's throats, killing one another. He was given a huge sword.
It is not difficult to see that this is already happening in the world. There is no peace in the world.

Rom 1:20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Jesus said: "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." John 16:33 |

Matthew 24 explains Revelation 6, and both chapters describe exactly the same events in exactly the same chronological order. Thus the White Horse is explained in in Matt 24:4 as "Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. " The next, the Red Horse is described in Matt 24:6 as "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:" The next, Black Horse is described in Matt 24:7 "and there shall be famines, " The next Pale Horse/s (actually two, called Death and Hell or Hades) are explained in Matt 24:7 as "and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places". These first 4 seals or 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, are described in Matt 24 as just "the beginning of sorrows." The fifth seal of Revelation 6:9 describes martyrdom of the saints in the end-time, which is exactly the same as Christ next describes in Matt 24:9 9 "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake." Thus to understand Revelation 6, simply follow along in Matt 24 since both describe the same set of events in exactly the same chronological order. Happy studying |
