But I think if I were you I would stay in california. Isn't the weather trempread all the time ? .... Something like British Columbia and it rains a lot in the winter and they never see snow. If you are thinking of western Canada don't think Alberta, Manitoba ..... They will freeze you out , man.

Just remember Dusty the summers here are no pice of cake- but that's what air conditioning is for. As a matter of fact for the first time this year I believe alot of norther states were as hot as us- still 104 degrees at 92% humidity is a rough ride!

Several seem to be readers here. It would be great if we had a "Book" forum here so people could give a recommendation of a book that has blessed them. I tend to buy books on recommendation.

Yes you are right - but that is what I said...

So it was revised from the founding of Israel to the date of the six days war of 1967. (1967 + 40) The theology was updated to 2007. So at the end of this year it will have to be re-guessed again. Ezekiel 38-39 is an apocalyptic account of the Maccabean period of history – it is already in the past. The newspapers are used daily to constantly upgrade and revise the Dispensational view – it changes frequently, but never comes to pass...

The reason that they used 1967 as the new starting point is because all of jerusalem was captured in the war on that year.

Jerusalem: After 1967 (BBC News)
"Israel captured the whole of Jerusalem in 1967 and extended the city's municipal boundaries, putting both East and West Jerusalem under its sovereignty and civil law... "

I guess I didn't explain it clearly. Sorry.

Oh do I envy you going to the North West. This same company I worked for had a plant also in Washougal, Wa along the Columbia River. (near Portland) It is radically different out there - smelling the unique scent of the pulp mills, seeing the logs on the Columbia. All the Fir trees. Visiting Mt. Hood. Eating smoked salmon and steelhead - yum. Watching the fish ladders at the Bonneville Dam.

Great place to live - my best friend lives in Camas, Or - hope to see him in the next few years.

Hi Jasher,

And where do you live? ... Let me ask you something. Is the land of Cannan and the promise to Abraham relegated to the literal land of Israel here on earth? Thanks for your response. ... Is Abraham "included" in the promise? Let me be redundant, is Abraham included in the promise?

John

Let me answer the question in my prior statement dear Christian. "Now to Abraham AND his seed were the promises made. ... "And to thy seed, which is Christ. Gal. 3:16.

Abraham was in the land of Canaan when God said to him, "Unto thy seed will I give this land." Now to the words of Stephen, full of Holy Spirit, and his face shining like that of an angel, ... The next verse after Acts 7:4,

"And He gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on; yet He promised that He would give it to him for a possession, and to his SEED after him, when as yet he had no child." ... Remember, Abraham was included in the promise, yet he actually received no inheritance of the land. Did God's promise fail? Not at all.

We must remember, Abraham was to die before the possession was given. Abraham cannot be left out of the promise. We must again remember that the children of Abraham are they who are born of the Spirit. Spiritual is not opposed to literal. Spiritual is opposed only to flesh, or carnal. Correct?

The only way that the land of Canaan could be inherited is that Abraham and the SEED, who is Christ, would be together. Therefore, the idea that the land of Canaan, or Israel in this present age is warranted, as if Hal Lindsey is not a false prophet with all his failed predictions, would be the heavenly land.

The only way that Abraham and Christ will be together is when Abraham is resurrected from the death, the second coming of Christ.

Those who have faith impels them to act upon God's promises shall enter into the heavenly Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey, the eternal inheritance of the saints.

blessings to you in Christ,
John
