what does this mean? its from a song called "first power"

"I am the ressurection and the life.
He who believes in me,

It appears to refer to Satan"s presence and power over this world
Much of it is taken directly from scripture. Some of it made to ryme.


To be sure one would have to ask the one who wrote it. But this is what i get from it
Particularly interesting is this line

(satan) All this power I will give thee,
if thou therefore wilt worship me.
All shall be thine...

Which is taken from the account of the temptation of Jesus. Which indicates to many (including myself) that Satan is present and still has power under God but yet over man in this world.

It is not clear just what the writer is trying to say here.

Going through the door bacwards probably referes to the old fundimendalist scare that when rock music( on the old vinal records) was played backwards satanic messages could be heard.

There is a hint in here that God is distant(in heaven) and that Satan is present and has first chance at controling us(first power). But it's not clear were the writer stands on this issue or were they expect the listoner to.

I would venture a guess that it is based in hard rock, christian rock or heavy metal music and what ever the massage it has very little if any meaning other than to appeal to a wider range of listoners.
Most likely sarcasm placed to music.
